My Xerox WorkCentre M123 does not enter in more ways administrator password is 11111 and x-admin right but as soon as I enter the settings Administrator freeze (crashes) same thing with Internet access, he says working in suspended impossible to enter Administrator mode. How do you do the reset factory settings to try to solve the problem? Excuse my English but I'm Italian

    the machine and I have to turn off and on. Even by going through CentreWare pc, I get the message impossible to enter Administrator mode, there may be works in progress.

  1. Enter UI Diagnostic Mode.

  2. Press the Log In/Out button on the Control Panel

  3. Select System Settings.

  4. Select Common Settings.

  5. Select Diagnostics.

  6. Select NVM Read/Write.

  7. Enter location 700-171 and press Confirm/Change. This is the current password. You can provide this number to the customer, or set the location to the default value (11111) and allow the customer to enter a new number from Tools mode.

How do I reset the Admin password?
The default ID and password are "11111" and "x-admin" respectively. When accessing the administrator menus on the copier the code 11111 is used. I couldn't find a way to reset specifically.

I believe you should be able to access the Admin Menu by pressing the System button on the operator panel. A password is required to enter Admin Menu when Panel Lock Set is set to Enable. To Disable the Panel Lock you will need a password. The factory default panel password is 0000. Hopefully you haven't changed that. This procedure is described in the manual on pages 315 ff. I believe from there you can go in and assign a new Admin password if required.

Solution : Modify the Printer's Administrator Password Using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) NOTE: This solution assumes the WorkCentre is configured and working properly on the network.
  1. From the computer, open an Internet browser window.
  2. Enter the IP address for the WorkCentre in theAddressfield, and then press [Enter] on the keyboard. The CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.
  3. Click on the [Properties] tab.

    NOTE:If the Login screen is displayed, enter the user name in theUser IDfield, and the password in thePasswordfield, and then click on the [Login] button.

    The default username is "admin" (case sensitive), and the default password is "1111". If it has been changed or forgotten, contact Support.
  4. Click on [Security] to expand the list of options.
  5. Select [Authentication Configuration].

  2. Select [Security Settings] on the left side of the screen.
  3. Select [Authentication] from theGroupscolumn and then select [User / Administrator Accounts] from theFeaturescolumn. The User Administrator screen will be displayed.
  4. Select the [Account #] field, and then select account number 1 using the keypad on the Control Panel.
  5. Select the [Configure Account] button. The Configure User Accounts screen will be displayed.
  6. Press the [Clear C] button (several times, as required) on the Control Panel to clear the old password.
  7. Enter the new password using the keypad on the Control Panel.
  8. If necessary, place a check mark in the [System Administrator (Admin)] and [Account Administrator] check boxes, and then select [Save Account].
  9. Select [Close].
  10. Press the [Log In / Out] button on the Control Panel.
  11. Select [Logout] on the Touch Screen.

Xerox WorkCentre M128 hard reset
Yes! what you will need to do is...

Hold down the [0] for 7 seconds and press [start] without releasing the [0]
you will be prompted for a password. enter [6789] and press confirm
select system settings followed by administrator log in/set up and change the password back to [11111]

What is the default password for the Xerox workcentre 24?
It looks like the username and password are both 'admin', and if that doesn't work it might be '11111'.

Need to reset my xerox pro128 password
Here is how you reset the system admin password.

1) Enter Diagnostics as normal (press 0 wait 5 secs. Then hit the Start Button, then select 6 7 8 9 and Confirm)
2) Select Log In/Out
3) Select System Administrator Settings
4) Select System Administrator Login ID
5) Select Keyboard and enter 5 1's ( 11111 )
6) Select Save
7) Select Keyboard again and re-enter 5 1's ( 11111 )
8) Select Save
9) Select Save again
10) Then Select Close and finally Exit
11) POPO to make sure change took effect
At this point the customer should be able to login to customer tools by entering 11111 on the UI.

How do i change the number of rings for xerox workcenter 123 to pick up for receiving fax
  1. Press the [Log In / Out] button on the Control Panel. The Login screen will be displayed.
  2. Enter the System Administrator userID using the numeric keypad on the Control Panel, or select the [Keyboard] button on the Touch Screen to enter the userID, and then select [Save] on the Touch Screen.
  3. If necessary, enter the System Administrator password using the numeric keypad, or select the [Keyboard] button to enter the password, and then select [Save] on the Touch Screen.

    NOTE: The default userID is 11111, and the default password is x-admin (must be entered in lower case). If the userID and / or password have been forgotten, a service call must be placed.

  6. Select [Fax Mode Settings]. The Fax Mode Settings screen will be displayed.
  7. Select [Fax Defaults]. The Fax Defaults screen will be displayed
You wll then see locations to set the amount of rings to answer, ECM mode etc.

Press machine log in button, enter 11111 confirm, this will take you to sys admin mode, from here you can navigate into sys settings to configure network,copy and fax defaults, and also auditron admin if this is the password mentioned, if the 11111 password has been changed hold the zero button for a few seconds then press start while still holding zero enter 6789 to get into diagnostics, and you can navigate through to the above settings caution be careful what you change in this mode.
