The tub and drum are locked on the shaft and will not unlock, you can tell if the tub and wash plate rotate together and the drum keeps trying to unlock by jiggling back and forth. This means the tub is stuck on the shaft and needs a bearing kit, I don't know how long this job takes as I have not done one yet but I will find out in the morning as I have one of these to repair, I will let you know how much of a job this is after I have done the job, god help me, I am really not liking cabrilos at all.
Unbalance Load
uL is displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a
mini-cycle to rebalance the load.
Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load.
If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will flash until the door
lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and redistribute
the load.
SOURCE: my washer seems to be off balance everytime it
You may only be running a few items and that will cause it to spin out of balance. Try a full basket of like weight clothing. Be sure to check the drain hose...it should only be inserted into the wall or drain about 6-8 inches or it will pull water back in the machine causing this problem. That is a very common issue.
Use 2-3 tbsp of liquid detergent or below line one on powder in this unit as it uses very little water. Use only detergent labeled as HE detergent or you will get foamy water and the pump, bearings, seals will fail. Usually that will result in a loud whining noise or the sound of a train/jet in the laundry room!
You will need service for that one as it is not for the normal handy-man/woman.
SOURCE: I have a whirlpool washer.
Hello &
Welcome to FixYa UL
error means unbalanced load, If the load is
unbalanced, the washer will display this code while running an imbalanced load
correction routine at the end of the wash cycle and before the final spin. If the
code remains and the wash cycle dial is flashing after the recovery routine has
stopped, open lid and redistribute the load then close lid and press START. Please get back to me if you have any
other questions. Kevin
