My jvc everio gz-mg130u will not record footage it is however recording sound. It will replay footage from previous occassions. The flip down screen is showing no picture but it does present the time date etc.

This is usually caused by a defective CCD image sensor and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.
