Good Day, arods107;

The Hitachi TV is an easy TV to trouble shoot, but one needs to remove the back from the TV and observe the LED's (green lights).
The problem you stated could be many things wrong with the TV, but you must observe the LED's. If you want to do this yourself please observe lights and tell me what lights don't light. There is about 9 LED's (green lights). Next to each LED there an symbol number like D975 etc.
Please let me know, be careful when you remove the back don't touch any thing, just observe, I don't want you to get hurt.

Good luck, big IRISH. ps Come to this sight or e me @ [email protected].

How do I fix a key that wont play on my Roland D-20

Ugh! the only way to fix this is to dismantle your D-20 to get to the bottom of the key bed. There are rubberized strips under the keys that have pads which make contact (hence, key contacts) in several places with the actual keys. The strips are attached with rubber nibs that snap into place on the base of the key bed. The reason for the lack of sound and/or the millisecond delay is a speck of dust that somehow made its way onto the contact for that key. If you decide to take this task on by yourself, make sure you clean the rubber strips (yeah I'd do all of them while you're in there) completely with canned air and contact cleaner in a dust free environment, and be sure to attach the rubber strips completely to make a dust-free barrier. Once you see the strips, the explanation will make sense. If this sounds overwhelming, take the board to a repair shop and their tech will fix this for you, as they see this issue all the time with velocity-sensitive keyboards. Good Luck!

My gateway 450rog computer screen wont come on after i press the power button why

Make sure the machine has power.

The battery might be dead, so connect your notebook to the AC power adapter and plug the adapter into a working AC outlet.

If you have a power strip or surge protector, make sure it is on.

If you are having trouble with battery power, recharge it if it has been fully discharged or replace it if necessary.

Check to make sure the computer is not in "sleep" or "hibernate" mode.

Press a key or the touchpad and wait for it to respond.

Try pressing the power button.

Make sure that you fully engage the power button.

You should press and hold the button for at least half a second but no more than three seconds for the machine to power on.

Adjust the screen's display brightness because it may be too dark. Press and hold the "FN" key and press the key with the icon to increase brightness.

This icon looks like an "up" arrow and a picture of the sun.

hope this helps

Disc drive wont open. i pressed the eject button on my keyboard but it makes a clunk sounds but wont open.

This wil show you how to take it apart if that becomes necessary. But try this instead. First hold the eject button down for 5 seconds. I that fails look for a tiny hole near the disc slot. Use a straightened paper clip and push it in the hole firmly. This should eject the disc. Another option is to use firmware to eject the disc. Follow these directions: To eject a disc with Open Firmware commands, follow these steps:
  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Immediately after the startup sound, press and hold the key combination Command-Option-O-F.
Note: The Command key has the Apple and (commandkeysymbol.gif) icons on it.
  3. Release the keys when you see a white screen that says "Welcome to Open Firmware."
  4. At the prompt, type: eject cd
  5. Press Return, then wait a few seconds. The disc drive should eject any disc that is present, and "ok" appears behind your command when the action is complete.
  6. Type: mac-boot
  7. Press Return.
  8. Your computer should now start up normally.

The numbers 1-3 on the keypad wont work

Hi,
Warning
In the keyboard test (below), make sure the keys are pressed in the right order. If the calculator fails the keyboard test then it needs repairs. (Ignore the beginning of the post and skip to the last part For Repairs )

You can reset the calculator:

Turn the back of the calculator towards you. Extract the top left rubber pad on the back of the calculator and use a paper clip to press the Reset button. If that does not restore the calculator to health, you should perform the diagnostic tests.

Make the calculator perform a
Self test.
  1. Turn calculator on
  2. Press and HOLD the key [ON]
  3. Press and release the key with "E" to its right (the one before last in first row)
  4. Release the [ON] key.
It tests the RAM and ROM. You will see various patterns on screen. Afterward you should see
IROM OK,
IRAM OK,
HP48GX OK
The self test will continue repeatedly until you perform a
System Halt
  1. Press and HOLD the [ON] key
  2. Press and release the "C" key
  3. Release the [ON] key.
The empty stack should appear.

If you do not see IROM OK and IRAM OK, the calculator requires service.

If the above procedure is successful, you may want
to test the keyboard.
  1. Turn calculator on
  2. Press and HOLD the [ON] key
  3. Press and release the "D" key.
  4. Release the [ON] key
  5. Press and release the "E" key. KBD 1 should appear on the top left corner of the screen.
  6. Starting at the upper left corner of the keyboard, and moving Left to right, press every key in sequence. If you follow the sequence and the keys are functioning properly you should hear a high pitch sound at each press.
  7. If everything is OK, when you press the last key (+) the screen displays KBD 1 OK.
To exit the keyboard test proceed as described above under System Halt.

If you follow the proper sequence and a hexadecimal number appears after pressing a key, the calculator requires service.-

When i press the button to increase my volume it wont respond what do i do

First of all you need to go into the settings menu>Sound Settings and make sure you do not have it set to mute.

Press the musical note key on the home bar also. Check to see if it is muted.

If none of that works, you most likely have a blown sound fuse.

Try these couple of things:
The speakerphone feature lets you hear audio through the speaker and

2. Select the type of volume you wish to adjust.
3. Select the desired volume level.
