    Hi,

I have the same problem with my D600 Dell since today. Were you able to solve your problem and, if so, any insights you can share would be very helpful. I am hoping it is a easy fix. Problem sumary: Laptop does not turn on either with the power cord-adpater or battery. The power adapter's light comes on (means there is power), but the moment I plug-in the cord into the laptop, the power cord light goes off (means no power). Starting it form a battery also does not work.

    Thanks!

The test Dell advises to narrow down this issue is to remove the battery, hard drive, ram, and optical drive.  Next plug in the a/c power cord and you should get some LED's coming on. If not it points to the motherboard.

D600 wont power up

Try removing the battery and boot on the power cord sometimes the battery shorts the system so it will not boot if it does boot then you need to replace the battery it could be the battery is dead and your power cord is bad check and make sure that is not the case if the power cord is good then I would look into replacing the mother board you can find a replacement on Ebay or at dell .if you have to replace it do a google search on hot to replace the mother board on a Dell latitude D600
and you will ba able to get step by step on how to disassemble it

My Laptop (Dell Latitude D600) when I'm trying to turn it on, can not swicthing on and no effect can show me that power is entring. I thounght that is charger problem and I trayed to use the same charger...

Try this, Unplug the power and remove the battery, while the battery and power are unhooked hold the power button down for 30 seconds, Put the battery back in and make sure you slide the locking tap to lock the battery in, try to start the computer, If it doesn't start, plug the power cord in and wait 3 minutes and try to start it, If it still will not start it has an internal issue and needs to be repaired.

My Dell laptop d600 suddenly shut off and will not power back up....led light on adapter blinks when plugged in...I have tried re-inserting RAM modules but this or nothing else seems to work.. thank you...

Unplug your battery and then plug in AC adaptor and see if laptop powers on. I assume you power button doesnt turn on at all? If so, your motherboard seems to have a power issue. Unfortunately, you have to replace motherboard. If laptop. powers on withour battery then you then battery needs replacement.
