This error is referring to the ASF assy (Assembly frame which means the paper feed section)
This paper sheet feeder assy is a extremley complicated piece and is therefore not really repairable. You will need to take the machine to a canon repairer for a new assy sheet feeder to be fitted. It takes a trained engineer about 2-1/2 hours to fit one as the whole machine has to come apart and the new feeder has to be aligned while fitting. Its a job i always hate having to do. You dont have any other options i am afraid. Srri to bring you such bad news.

How to clean the purge unit on Canon MP530 when error 6A00 is on?

The error code 6A00 on the Canon MP530 printer indicates that the auto-purge unit of the printer is not functioning properly. The unit consists of squeegees that remove excess ink from the print head nozzles after printing. When this mechanism of the squeegees fails, the 6A00 error will be displayed on the printer's control panel. Paper jams can also cause the error. Understand the steps given below to fix the issue.
Clearing paper jam
First, make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer.
1. Shut off the printer and remove the paper from the ASF.

2. Pull the jammed paper out slowly using both your hands.

3. Open the scanning unit and clear any torn paper bits remaining inside the printer.

4. Clear any jammed paper from the cassette area.

5. Power on the printer and try to print.

Cleaning the auto-purge unit:
Raise the printer lid to access the ink cartridges. Let the carriage move to the center. Unplug the printer and move the carriage to the left.

1) Pull the pads (color and black ink) out using your fingers. Do not drop the pads into the printer.

2) Rinse the pads.
3) Wipe the squeegees. Clean the top and front edges of the squeegees.

4) Use a clean damp paper towel to wipe off the inks on the guides and blades.

5) Make sure the squeegees can easily move.

6) Clean the rails using the paper towel.

7) Check for any clogs in the two holes below the pad position. Clear the clog so that the holes through which the hoses suck the ink from the pads and release it to the large absorbent pads at the bottom.

8) Place the pads back in their positions.

9) Lift the pad trays and clean the ink on it.

10) Close the lid. Try to print.
Hope the issue is resolved.

MP530 error code 5700

Please be sure you do not have a paper jam. Bits of paper can be left internally which may impede the paper path.

Otherwise you may try to reset the device:

1) Press and hold the <On/Off> button until the display on the machine goes blank. (If this is unsuccessful, unplug the power cord).

2) Wait approx. 10 seconds and power back on. Wait until the printer completes its startup routine before trying another print job.

3) Your MP 530 requires repair service.

MP530: After printing one page, it gives "Paper Jam" error, I open and close the ink cover, and print another page, with the resultant "Paper Jam" error, etc. Any solutions?

Either you have a bad sensor, or the sensor arm is bent so that it doesn't return properly after paper passes thru, It's hard to see, on the right side behind the platen roller, above the white guide plates.

Two-sided printing

On a PC...
- Ctrl + p to print
- Choose the Canon MP530 if it's not already selected
- Click Properties button
- Page Setup tab
- Select Duplex Printing

My paper always gets jammed, so I always uncheck the Automatic checkbox. Hopefully you won't have to do that.

Good luck.
