My computer does not recognize the player and i lost the software cd for the philips mp3 player what is the other way to send songs into the mp3 player

You must use Windows Media Player 10 to transfer and delete music - the newest version, Windows Media Player 11, will not work with the Philips HDD Series of GoGear.

Definitely run the installation CD - you can grab the software and manual from Philips website if you have lost it.

Not all GoGear's are created equal - some recognize DRM-protected songs - others do not; some use Windows Media Player 10, some use Windows Media Player 11, and some can only use Windows Explorer - check manual for details - with Philips players, every word is important
