I had the same problem and followed a post on u tube to solve problem. i bought a tiny bulb, about the size of a popcorn kernel. it has two wires. one takes apart the face of the proton radio, and fishes out the bulb which is in a green sleeve. the bulb i bought at ametron made in Taiwan and was either 12 or 14 v (sorry i don't know much about electronics and i kind of forgot the exact size, but it was not the specified type, but close.) the bulb has two tiny wires which i spliced in. the flurescent radio dial now works, and actually seem to glow brighter with each use...

Dashboard lights are out and rear lights, also a pulling sensation when changing gears especially and a horrible sort of screeching noise when I start the engine!!

You aren't alone with your lights problem . Mu '59 Picanto did exactly the same thing last night. No dashboard, heater, or air vent illumination and worse still no rear lights (note brake lights do work). Got home switched off everything, then switched back on and all working. Very strange.

Trying to find an english version of the Zeiss Orion 80 starlight scope user manual. Thanks

There isn't much to them. Zeiss NV Orion 80. It has two switches, one for IR and the other for turn on/off. It has lens adjustment on both ends. The eye viewer is used to set and correct you eye to focal point Caution: Never look through you NV Zeizz during the day. Also, at night never look a bright lights. Bright lights will kill the little wigits vampires, dead. Really bright lights will destroy the image intensifier tube. Once the tube is gone, it will be expensive to replace it. Don't miss tread it, keep out the water/rain/snow and salt water. Don't let grandfather play with it. He will he will be seeking window in the early morning. So, instead of taking a walk about. He will be taken a look see about the neighborhood "Starlight, Starbright, what are we going to see to night in those dimly lite window..... stewbison

pit back in the charge station for at least 4 hours and switch the power on for the charger
many small battery chargers will flatten the battery if the power is switched off
if that fails , contact amazon for a return letter to get you warranty refund

I got a Night Guardian night vision monocular scope. It doesn't work, but you can see the red pale light on its small reticule if switched on. I dont know why it doesnt work anymore, before it is fine....

These NV monoculars and this Guardian is made by ATN. Normally what happen is the image intensifier tube has gone back to Red Star country. In other words, it gone! The reason why the IR light up is it on a different circuit and has nothing to do with the internal electronic of this NV monocular.

All this IR light does is to provide invisiable light to inhance the image on image tube on very dark/clouded nights. Someone else using and NV devise can see IR light on your monocular and vise versa to you, you can see its IR light. stewbison

I have acquired a night owl monocular nightscope. the only number I could find was in the battery compartment # H3T-3M. there was a serial # 9846786. The problem appears to be the switch. the powerligt...

Yes, If you turned the Night Owl on during the daylight hours, or looking directly into bright lights.
If you have done this more than few time it could have damaged the image intensifier tube. If this happen to many times, it's finny, kaput, so long, it gone south, and gone bye-bye.

Looking at bright lights is damaging to NV devise. The intensity plate in the image tube, magify the existing light about 3000 to 8000 (radian light from the stars, moon and other light sources).
You have 80mm front lens on the Night Owl NOCP5. This mean that more light can inter into image tube.

Sir, have you been looking at bright lights, operate NV system during the day, have you? If not, there could be something else worng with you Night Owl. stewbison

Waht is the problem ,Is only a green light flashing

Hello, it seems that they is an electronic component has gone bad or even the image intensifier tube.
Night Owl Optic in El Paso, TX. won't fix because they done have the parts to do. These night vision devises are manufactured in Russia and a lot of US companies sell them under the brand name. It like this: you buy it, it stop working, you throw it away. If you haven't thrown it away, auction it on eBay for $10 to $15 plus shipping. Best of Luck. GB...stewbison
