45 (record) Jukebox. While playing the jukebox was changing records, the arm lifted the record slightly off the turntable. the credits and song selection would not clear off the readout, even after powering off and the turntable will not stop spinning. Turned off overnight now when turn on can force the record bar back to the carousel but turntable just spins and readout of record and credits is blank

Check the videos as there is an adjustment. Also check for slipping belts.

Why don't you acquire a time machine, and go back to when Wurlitzer was building those, and ask them what to do?

Check the 3 amp Slo-Blow fuse in the 3rd fuse holder (bottom right corner) of the phono junction box. I had a similar problem with my AMI F-80 (1954). The turntable continued to turn and would not detect the end of the record to return it to the rack, nor could I cancel the record. Power through this fuse goes to the mechanism junction box and on to the carriage junction box where all the control contacts are. So without that power, it doesn't know what to do next. Also, there is a way to modify/fool the credit unit so it thinks it always has credit (free-play!). Basically you put a jumper on the contacts, but I made the jumper go through a simple flip switch, so I could choose free play or not. I hope this helps.

Most skip problems are caused by a worn stylus or not enough pressure being applied to the stylus. This being caused by the weight on the end on the tone arm being off place.

I am aware of jukebox mechanisms that would clamp down on the record, and if it detected a small-hole in the 7" disk, it would change the RPM to 33 1/3, and the large hole would mean 45 RPM.

However, if we drill down into the history of the development of the 45, we can see that it was developed as a replacement for the 10" 78 RPM disk. It was also intended to be played on a distinct 45 RPM player, and thus the large hole to discourage use on regular turntables.

Most of the 45s in the UK had a pushout centre (some round, some triangular). 33s didn't have this. Ex-jukebox records had the pushout pushed out, and clip-in new centres could be fitted

There is a switch, or lever to a switch, that detects the end of the arm travel. For some reason, it is being tripped early. Try to open it up, and see what you can see. It doesn't sound like a broken part, but a dislodged part, maybe. That's all I remember, only had this problem once, years ago.

The 3600 has a hub that is supposed to play dinked and undinked records. They had 33rpm and 45 rpm records back then, so to change the record speed the undinked (small hole ) records pushed down the hub flat when it landed on it, which changed the gearing. When a dinked (big hole) record lands on it falls onto the larger part of the hub. So if the hub is down and stuck there that's your problem. After the hub has been pushed flat (because of a small hole record) it is supposed to rise up again when the record is returned to the carousel. Have a look under the turn table and push up the centre rod.

THIS JUKEBOX IS 40 YEARS OLD. LUBRICATION MAY BE THE PROBLEM. HERE IS HOW TO FORCE THE SEEBURG JUKEBOX TO PICK UP A RECORD AND PLAY A SONG.
LOOK AT THE ARM THAT HOLDS UP THE NEEDLE AND CARTAGE. NEAR THE MIDDLE OF THE RED ARM, ONE INCH TOWARD THE MOTOR, THERE IS A HORIZONTAL LEAVER LIFT IT UP A RECORD WILL GO INTO THE HEAD, THAT RECORD SHOULD PLAY THE SONG, IF THE LUBRICATION IS OK.
IF THE RECORD GOES INTO THE HEAD, AND THEN PUTS THE RECORD BACK IN THE RACK. YOU HAVE A LUBRICATION PROBLEM.
THAT IS A TOUGHT MACHINE TO FIX IOF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH IT.
DOCTOR FIX IT.

Check the optical sensor, it may be blocked with dust.
