The USB device needs a driver. I have loaded drivers from Dell support. But the USB device find not the correct driver. Who can help me? I have an Laptop from Dell. Its dell vostro 1015.

here is your answer, as is true for all PCs made

you first need the USB drivers in the PC working prefectly or the camera will be dead
then the DELL drivers for this this exact PC loaded, and only DELL has those, not fixya, nor MS< nor others.
only DELL.com has them.

unless the PC is infected with virus, as that kills anything,.

did you upgrade from VISTA ,if yes, that be #1 first fact to tell.

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems to a computer and its parts

If ALL the usb ports have stopped working, this is a problem with the USB controller. The short answer is that you cannot easily repair this. In all probability, the controller, or a circuit trace to it has blown or shorted. You would need to get another motherboard.

If one is still working, then you can get a PCIMCIA card to usb port that will give you 2-4 extra ports, but this will only work if at east one of your existing usb ports is still functioning

Click Hardware
Click Device Manager
Look to see that the USB ports are correctly detected, and that their device-drivers are loaded.

Try a different USB device in your computer; if it also does not work, then you have a problem with your computer, _NOT_ with the PNY flash-drive.

Just go to this site and select network option in the bottom of the page, expand it and download the drivers.

Are you currently hooked up to the internet?

If so, you can download the driver automatically by right clicking on my computer -> properties -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager

When that loads, find the correct device (may have a yellow question mark next to it) -> right click on the device -> properties -> Driver tab -> Update driver.

The wizard should guide you through the rest and find the correct driver.

memory sticks rarely malfunction, if it is you might have the wrong module in the system. USB Drivers are available at dells website or try driver.com

When you reinstalled XP on your Dimension 4600, did you install the drivers in this order. USB is part of the chipset and the driver will need to be loaded for USB to function normally.
