HI I recently wiped my computers harddrive, and reinstalled xp with no problems. however im missing some drivers, my ethernet controller, And pci. I could fix the pci if i had my ethernet working so i could connect to the internet. But im haveing real trouble finding the right driver can you help me? my computer model is a emachine 5260 running xp. thank you

You can download the device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEBsupport/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windowsdrivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download thedrivers: -

You should have had 2 cds that came with your computer. The 2nd one has all the drivers on it. Install the drivers and your problem will go away.

Hi, this is a common problem when one wipe there hard drive and reinstall an operating system, go to your common manufacture's website and download the driver for your wireless device and Ethernet controller. Recommendation: when ever you wiping your hard drive, also make a backup of your drivers by downloading them before you wipe. I recently wipe my computer, and i make sure i had all the device drivers before i wipe. Smile!

if you don't have the driver and utilities software that came with the laptop, download the drivers from the laptop manufacturers web site.

You Can go to driverguide.com to find the drivers you need as far as telling you what drivers for your computer are need, i have no clue. you should go into the device manager to see them and then download them if you have any more questions let me know.
