You will have to buy a CD for the software. go to any motorola shop and ask them for a CD that will install the software into your PC and then will recognize the device.

Hello,

Motorola L6 just like V3 and other older models isn't directly recognized by windows and because of this
you need a special software designed for Motorola phones called Mototools.

Mototools 6 runs on any windows version from Windows 98 to XP. You can download it by clicking here.

The installation process is simple and takes only a few minutes to setup. Once you've installed it connect your phone to your PC and open up Mototools which will act like a file manager between your PC and your phone.
