I am renting a house here in Ireland and the TV is a 19" Orion but there is no remote control to tune in the channels can you please help me

Try connecting this TV to a VCR or DVD player. Then press channel two and continue to press channel down. See if this will work. Also...if you have an older model Emerson TV remote, it will operate the Orion TV. Let me know if this will work!

do you have cable ? if not you may need to have a digital box in to see the channels you want

Cable co. can place stations at any # they wish... my antenna CH3 is carried on 252. I have to have a CH guide to keep-up.

I had that problem 2 my channels disapeared one by one and some will skip yes...

I always use on my remote controll :

1 menu
2 Ch tuning
3 auto

and then wait untill it has found all the channels

use your remote and fine tune the channel 15

go to a channel that will let you turn tv sound down to zero. then turn tv to channel block asking for password. next on the tv hold the volume down button and at the same time hold down the number 0 on the remote. It should unlock

Do you just mean to select channels, or do you need to have it search for active channels (programming mode)? If just select channels, then most remotes have channel up & down buttons, in addition to the number pad. To select by numbers, use 2 digits: 04, 06, 08, 10, 22 and so forth.

If the set needs to be placed in the setup or autoprogram mode to search for active channels, then the menu functions must be used.

You may be able to find an online manual on Orion's website. Use your TV model number.

Turn the set on, hook the cable directly to the TV, take the remote control and press 1 - 1 and if the TV tunes in channel 11 then your set is fine. If the TV was autoprogrammed when hooked to a cable box then the only channels that will be stored in memory are 3, maybe 4 and AUX. To correct this simply go back into the menu and look for the "autoprogram" option and perform the autoprogram while the cable is directly connected to the TV, without a cable box.
