Better late than never, but jkeny you can easily replace the battery. Ive done iton mine, but unfortunately it turns out that my charging circuit has failed and it might as well not have a battery any more.
I don't have my 330 in front of me but from memory you need a small (3mm ish) phillips head screwdriver and about the same sized flat head screwdriver.
Undo any external screws (i cant recall but i think theres one or two on the back) Use the flat head screwdriver in the small recess on the side of the facia that looks like it's designed for a screwdriver to fit in the slot and twist it to start removing the face plate off the gps. Then use the flat screwdriver to gently work it off top and bottom towards the other side (be careful to do the far side last as that has some retaining clips that you can break that hold the whole face together).
Once the faceplate is off, undo the 4-5 Phillips head screws holding the gps screen to the body and the battery is under the green securing lugs, which you have to use the Phillips head to remove.
Then you just unplug the battery and then wiggle it out.
Fitting the new battery is a reverse of this process.
I checked my GPS and i had it slightly wrong. The faceplate comes off after lifting on the right hand side, then you need to use a small security bit screwdriver (About a T6 it looks like, one was included with my replacement battery ki) to split the GPS face off, then you need to use the same security driver and take the security screws off the green mounting for the battery, unplug it and remove it.

i have a navman, icn 330. when i brought it i could set it from home, but it doesnt happen now. it only works when charging in the car and works only in the car now. What is the reason for this?

I have the same problem on a Navman S30.
I know replacement batteries can be bought on eBay for these GPS units but how is the battery replaced - I can't find any instrustions on-line for opening the unit.
Any help?

Who ever asked about the unit only working in the car most likely also has a U/S internal battery. Also believe the pin connector on the 12 v car charger, GPS unit end , is suspect in connection .
