Our Fisher and Paykel clothes washing machine, model # WL26CW2 has a clear colored elastic band that attaches from the top frame of the washer to the tub that came detached. I see there are several spaced around the tub basin that seems to keep the tub in place when spinning. How do I reattach the elastic band?

This usually happens when the load is one sided for a short time if the rubber has not split then you need to take a 5mm steel bar with one end turned at 1 inch to 90 % so you can push or pull it back to the hook or angled piece of bracket eric

SOURCE: Fisher and Paykel Washer Leaking

For those with water on floor after wash, check my post on "eco smart won't drain, smells hot". It could be something clogging drainage area at very bottom of the tub. I couldn't see the sock that was stuck in my FP's drain when I looked from the top between the white outer tub and the wash tub--everything looked fine. Then I removed the black motor/white plastic housing piece--Tip back washer and you should see this black electric motor/white housing on bottom. see my post for how to remove and check for plugged drain. it's really pretty easy.

don't know about outer tub holes, but glad i don't have that problem.

i hate my fisher paykel washer/dryer. i can't wait to sell this house--i will leave them here and get a new front load Duette for my next house!

SOURCE: Fisher Paykel washing machine model # GWL15 drips

Hi Dale..
It sounds like you have a leaky inlet valve assembly. The part number is 421029P and is easy to replace. You can get one here:

SOURCE: how do you remove inner tub to get to the outer

You need 2 people for this.. Unscrew plastic wingnut down the centre of the agitator.(2) undo 2 phillips head screws under little rubber covers just under lid at front top edge.(3)lift top of machine like a car bonnet, get someone to hold it up for you.(4)Unclip big round plastic ring on top of the bowl, you may find its attached with a spring at the front left hand corner, just lay the plastic ring over front of machine & let it hang. The bowl should just lift straight out.Be carefull, the outside of the metal bowl is like a cheese greater trust me! PS when you put it back together & you lower the top of the machine(make sure that little white plastic lever hanging down) the right hand rear go's outside the righthand rear of the tub NOT squashed on top.Its an out of balance lever & it needs to dangle outside of the bowl/tub right rear.GOOD LUCK!

Info screen lit but blank. washer ran fine but unable to see what cycle.

Sometimes things can get out of sync. Try unplugging the machine for a few hours to rest the code on the board.

We've been hearing a ticking sound coming from the basket area of our Fisher & Paykel washing machine for several days. The sound does not change whether the machine is on or off. It is harder to hear...

It does sound as if there maybe something in the filter, although you say it occurs even when switched off. If you switch off at the power point does it still occur?

Clothing stuck under agitator

The agitator pops off. You will need to use a flat head screw driver or something short enough to get in the tub and under the agitator and it will pop off. They are on there pretty good so it will take some work
