Hello,

IF YOU HAVE A SOLID BLACK LINE RUNNING VERTICALLY THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY MATRIX INVERTER. IF CENTRAL THE MAIN VERTICAL INVERTER NEEDS CHANGED. LEFT = LEFT VERTICAL INVERTER RIGHT=RIGHT.........

ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER

Hope this will help out in solving the problem....

How do I Fix LCD White Screen?

If you see "fractured lines" across the screen, it would appear that your LCD screen is broken. That's the only way these kinds of lines appear.
You need to replace the screen.

Just recently the monitor started experiencing a faded screen and vertical lines1/8" spaced across the screen. A remote controller took over my computer and saw what i saw and mentioned something...

Greetings,

You can double check the suggestion of the vidoe card by connecting your computer to another monitor. If the lines appear on the second monitor then the diagnosis is correct and the video card in your computer is failing. If the lines do not appear in the second monitor, then your monitor's screen is failing and you'll need a new monitor.

Regards,

The vertical lines/bar are sign of bad T-CON (LCD controller driver) board is bad, it is part of the LCD panel assembly, new screen will be needed, not worth it. You may try reseating the ribbon cable at the panel.

A big white vertical static band appears as soon a i turn on the power

Some of the transistors or the connection to the panel inside the monitor are damaged. There is no absolute fix for this problem.

You can try pushing on the bezel (NOT ON THE SCREEN) of the monitor at the edge of the screen directly at the lines and you may be able to push the connection back together well enough that the line goes away, but usually in desktop monitors the bezel is too rigid to allow you to put any pressure on the connections at the back of the LCD panel.

Picture problem

Usually that symptom is caused by cracked solder joints on the vertical output IC. As the IC starts heating up, the picture starts breaking up at the top with several "dancing" dark lines appearing, the top scrunches down and then when the vertical quits altogether, the screen goes completely black. A good slap on the side of the TV might make it happen faster or clear it up temporarily. If you have experience working on PC boards then you can resolder the pins of the vertical output IC but if you have never soldered parts on PC boards then allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
