If you are using wireless then you can increase speed with wireless channel type. You can also configure it with below method.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. Then click on wireless->wireless channel change it to 3 or 6 or 11 then save settings and restart router. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

My speed on upload is only 6 and I wanted to know how to makeit faster

First, do a speed test at speedtest.net It will show upload and download speeds. Upload speeds are typically slower as your provider will indicate, as well. I am uncertain how you might get past the limitations of your provider. Windows 10 purportedly by default eats about 80% of your bandwidth. You can easily find a discussion about the effect of that and possible ways to mitigate with a search of windows 10 and bandwidth. Here are additional suggestions. I would NOT be using a registry cleaner although the following link adds that suggestion:

How do I improve my broadband connection or download speed (aka Access Line...

The Access Line or Connection (download) speed is the speed of your Broadband connection between the local telephone exchange and the wireless router. This is the speed that Broadband is able to provide into your home rather than the actual speeds that you experience when using the internet. This download speed is typically twice the speed of your available upload speed.

Be careful all the major ISP's will test your line and come back to you will a max speed of about 3MB (3072 kbps OR 384 kB/sec) and sell you the product on this basis I have never got anywhere near this tested value. If you divide the tested value by 1/3 this would be a more reasonable speed.

For example if your ISP is able to provide you with a 1MB connection your maximum download speed will be 1024 kbps, in reality you will never reach this due to exchange limitations a connection (download) speed of 900 kbps (0.8MB OR 112 Kb/sec) would be more realistic and 350 kbps (0.35MB OR 44 kB/sec ) for uploading.

If you browse outside the peak period your speed will increase. However It will reduce significantly during the peak period from 5pm to 12am. If you want to download large programs or files, try doing this overnight or at a different time of the day.

Clearing your cache won't make you browse faster it is a collection of files which record your activity on the internet. These files are usually stored in your computer's Temporary Internet Files folder.
They can make browsing the web faster, as loading a page you've visited before is quicker if your computer has kept a record of images and other components within the web page. Clearing these files away can free up space on your hard drive and resolve certain problems you may experience while browsing like slow browser speeds !!

Tweaking your TCPIP can help here is a reg tweak that will optimize your registry WRT your TCP parameters; internet caching and simultaneous downloads.

Test your actual connection OR download speed here and e-mail it to yourself you can also set it to create a graph of your download times it will also show you a comparison of you and a typical value from your actual service provider, you will never get any where near this I use Sky Mid at the moment and I max out at on a 1MB line about 900kbps (112kB/sec) they say sky should offer you 2827kbps (354 kB/sec) which would be 80% of a 3MB line.

Smart test based on your connection speed =>
http://testmy.net/dl-96

If you start the automatic test and leave your PC on for 24 hours you will see at what time your connection will max out, the results are stored if you become a regsitered user, this link will test upload and donwload ( this is your line speed) in kbps (kilobits per second)

http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/scheduled_test.php?r_time=1

when finished to you can download the results to a csv (comma separated value) and import into Excel to see a pretty graph if you like.!!!!

N.B.> Make sure you close down VoiPs and Torrents and anything else that will sap you download speed before you do this test also I recommend rebooting your router to gain the optimum results

Slow upload speed

It is usual that the internet speed differs when connected to a modem and a router. You have many possibilities to get signal affected while connected through a router.
Anyway you can try with these basic steps to get a better connection through router,
1.) Reset the wireless router by using the power switch on it or by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
2.)Place the wireless router in an ideal location. The higher it is, the better, but don't put it near metal objects.
3.)Get as close as possible to the router with whatever device you're trying to connect.
4.)Keep the router and your connecting device away from other electronics. You should especially keep away from phones, fax machines and microwaves. etc.,
5.)Adjust the Wifi antenna if it has one.
6.)Change the router's channel, especially if other wireless routers are nearby.
Following these steps would give you stable internet connection and also increased speed in connection. You can check your internet speed from www.ScanMySpeed.com before and after performing these steps.

Y is it taking so long to upload you tube videos

Hi I_Hammons,

Upload speed is different from download speed. Usual broadband internet plans have the upload speed to be a fraction of the download speed so that's probably why you notice a rather high upload time.

It also may be caused by having a video file of considerable size. Try converting the file to a different format that doesnt isn't quite as big. Quiality will downgraded but at least you'll have a faster upload.

Hope this helped.

How to use internet on pc threw nokia 5130 express music mobile phone. it start but only outgoing byte running furiously and incoming byte running tooooo slowly pls tell me what to do for this...

If I understand, you are stating that you are using your mobile phone to connect your PC to the internet and your DL speed is going slow while your UL speed is going fast, and your computer connected over a landline is much faster. If I am wrong about this, please disregard. First thing, a land line DSL connection is ALWAYS going to be faster than a 3G connection. Second, your phone was designed as a phone, not a modem so while you are able to use it as a modem it is really only going to be able to handle either uploads or downloads quickly, not both at the same time.

My aspire 2920 can only upload 40 wireles when i connect with cable it opload 400. how can I solve the problem ? regards Axel

Speed is always faster while connected with a cable, this might not really be a problem but just a limitant in tecnology. For example, the maximum speed u can download wireless is about 550kbps, but while connected directly to ur modem, u can download for 11Mbps(+11000kbps).

I am using utorrent..i want to know if how can i run it faster than usual speed of it..any idea? tnx!

The only way to make a torrent run any faster would be to increase your upload speed within the program. Torrents usually work on a speed ratio, meaning if your upload speed is set to 10 KB, your download may be capped at 200 KB.... if you up it to 20 KB upload then you'll max out at 400 KB down..

But, most of the time this isn't affecting anything, especially in utorrent. The most likely scenario is that the people you are getting it from have very slow connections or have many people getting the file at once. That's the downsides of torrents, it can take days or even weeks to download some files.
