Your problem is one and or 2 differant problems. The power regulator could have went bad because of the convergence IC have shorted. Seen this a thousand(easy that!)Times. All parts in this set are soldered in and are not user serviceable. look in your owners manual or call 800-332-2119 to get an authorized servicer to come and look at your problem . I wish i could tell you what to replace but theres the Extreme Hi voltage inside these sets even when they are not plugged in .. Good Luck

Most likely the convergence output IC has shorted out and has overloaded the convergence power supply, which has stopped working. The computer senses that the convergence power supply is not running and shuts the set down. The convergence IC should be replaced, the power supply restored and the convergence circuits realigned by someone experienced in Mitsubishi projection sets. When I do a housecall for a set like that I charge $150, but shops in your area will vary so ask around.

as you are not electronic person so call skilled person. problem is simple. 1 there might be in power supply. 2 if power supply is ok horizontal section might be defective

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source.

some times when watching my mitsubishi tv, the power just turns off. it happens at random times, sometimes a couple times a week, sometimes a couple times a day. then when I hit the power button to turn the tv back on, it just clicks, and powers off again. then will take anywhere form 10 min. to an hour or more to power back on. bought the tv used, but have the orignal remote and book for it. if you know something I could do to fix this, please let me know! thanks
