Washing the soley be a help. There is snother area to look at. Do your feet smell by themselves or in other shoes? If so, there is a treatment for this problem with something like" foot fresh"

My friend has a similar problem with this once, but different shoe brand, same type. The simple the solution is to get new sandals, but if you can fix the problem, then try to fix it. A quick fix can be to wash the sandals by hand once in a while to get them from smelling. Use soap or alcohol to scrub them off and put outside to dry. Another way you could do this is to simply wash them in your washer with detergent. This may get rid of what collects on the sandals and gets rid of the smell. Then let them air dry, putting them in the sun can be most effective. These solutions should help if not try the old trick of putting a bag freshener in you bag when you put them away.

How do I re heel a pair of Fly London Tong Sandals

Shoe-Goo will bond and create a sole but it may be harder than expected and not the 'rubbery' feel you want. But it will work and is likely your best bet. Perhaps cut rubber sole from another sandal or shoe and use shoe go in between let set over night and then cut away excess with a razor and re goo around edges.

2001 eclipse gt revs up when shifting then settles down also noticed rubbery smell from engine area no leaks

How long have you driven on the nylon timing belt in the engine ?
What is the recommended distance before the timing belt needs replacement is it 100,000 kilometers ?
Also the bearings that the timing belt runs on may be worn out
Is there an adequate amount of oil in the engine ?
If the timing belt bearings are worn the timing belt gets hot and could cause that burning smell you mentioned .
Note if the timing belt breaks while the engine is running it could result in engine damage.

Insoles smell horrible

I am unsure of which model you have, but I would think that the insoles can be washed with water and dish soap to clean them up. Removing the insoles at the end of the day can also help them to dry out and get rid of the smell.

I purchased a vintage Pyrex lemonade pitcher with a plastic lid on eBay. It was packed in shredded newspaper. Though clean and well cared for, the lid stinks of a rubbery smell. I'm concerned about...

1) dismantle the plastic lid into its various parts and put them in a bowl.

2) into the bowl, pour 1/2 cup of white vinegar

3) add 1 tbsp of baking soda

4) lastly, pour 2 cups of hot water (not boiling), enough to cover the plastic lid. Stir to mix the solution thoroughly.

5) leave to soak for 2 days

First of all I love the ecco sandals. I would like to know how to get rid of the odor it is getting to be a major problem. Shoe's are still good.

These sandals are a little different from just rubber sandals but the remedies may still work. First of all you can buy Ecco products like the foam cleaner or the waterproofer which might help get rid of the smell and stop it from coming back. Click here for a website that has those products. Or you may want to try just some home remedies which I have recommended people with rubber shoes try. A quick fix can be to wash the sandals by hand once in a while to get them from smelling. Use soap or alcohol to scrub them off and put outside to dry, but since your shoes are not rubber alcohol might effect them differently. This may get rid of what collects on the sandals and gets rid of the smell. Then let them air dry, putting them in the sun can be most effective. These solutions should help if not try the old trick of putting a bag freshener in you bag when you put them away.

With vacuum on but not using, motor began to load up--whine began to rise--then sudden free flow and terrible smell emitted...thought the bag had failed and a shot of dog hair and dust reached the motor,...

This sounds like your motor going. If it winds up then down it could need new motor brushes or a new motor. Also, if the smell is kind of rubbery it could simply be the powere nozzle belt. Hope this helps, Chris
