Hello there. I have a HP 610 laptop and have recently installed Windows 7 to it. Since then, my scrolling pad isn't working. How can i make it scroll again? (:

You have to download an add-on from the available software downloads for your device on the website.
All you need to do is to follow the link below and scroll down to the Driver-keyboard, mouse and input device section.
Download the first file that says Synaptics TouchPad Driver.
After download, install the file and restart your computer. This would help you use your touchpad scroll again.

I am having compaq 610 laptop and the inbuilt speakers are not working.

The audio driver may be corrupted, try installing the audio driver again before you get the laptop repaired.
You can download the device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windows drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Try installing the latest audio driver first.

That happens, and sometimes they need to be replaced.
First, check out to make sure the drivers are loading properly for it, or they may need to be updated.
If you're running Windows 7, then you could try downloading the driver for the Synaptics Touchpad at:http://www.driverstools.com/hpcompaq-drivers/driver-hp-pavilion-g4-1200tx-notebook-pc-for-windows-7/

I no longer have the disc that came with the hp psc 2175 all in one printer and have recently changed over to windows 7 and need to reinstall it as I can't get the scanner to work right

Plug your printer and wait until the computer install the printer, windows 7 is automatically installing the device attached to it and be sure that your windows 7 is updated. if windows 7 is updated it will automatically install the devices attached into it.

I installed win 7 on hp dv6205us. Now my cursor is jumping all over the place. Is there anyway to this and keep win 7 on computer?

I would try reinstalling the drivers for the synaptic touch pad, they are for Windows XP but should still work correctly.They can be found here.

I would also try using the "Update a driver that isn't working correctly" feature. The procedure can be found here.

I have a HP 6730s. I tried install Windows 7. But the DVD isn't working, cannot boot from the disk.Should I do BIOS updade, how? Please help me! Thanks.

If the dvd isn't working at all then this isn't a BIOS problem, it's hardware - the dvd unit has failed. You must replace it - a repair shop will ask you about $100 for the new unit and the labor.

You will need to install the WIndows 7 drivers for your touchpad from HP. I have recently been on HP's site and find VERY few Win-7 drivers for any of the older machines.

Scroll on touchpad not working

There are two reasons for this, wrong or missing touchpad driver, or scrolling is disabled. First go to HP... http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

put in your exact model number and click on the drivers link, download the touchpad driver and install, scrolling is automatically enabled. When you download a new driver it will over-write the present one and all it's settings.
