I have a Polaroid TLX-04240B It comes on and Displays the Polaroid logo, then it goes to a black screen with the HDMI1 input box on the top right hand corner. THis box eventually disappears, leaving me with a black screen. The menus seem to work. But the signal only dispalys a black screen. When no source is connected, it will display the blue screen stating no signal. Apparently it is getting the HDMI signal but unable to display it? I have taken it apart and inspected the capacitors, which all appear fine. Any ideas troubleshooting ideas? (I'm used to working on laptops, but have little experience with TVs :)

Buy another HDMI cable.Try another HDMI cable with another HDMI hub on the tv port.If u still have the same problems,mean the whole main tv Tuner signal board have problems and the caused.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.

The HDMI cable works fine on another display. I suppose it could be an incompatible cable, but that isn't very likely. There are only 2 HDMI inputs on this TV, and I think they both use the same hub, I have tried both of them, in any case.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

I have a Polaroid 42" TLX-04244B. When turning the power on the polaroid logo comes on for a sec. then screen goes black with the blue power LED staying solid. Im pretty sure the power suply board isnt...

The Inverter is trying to produce the high voltage to light the backlight. It looks like it cannot hold the charge to maintain the high voltage level in order for it to stay on - you get a momentary display at initial power-up thus see the logo. Replace the Inverter board.

Polaroid TLX-04240B going to a black screen after running for 2mins. Any ideas on how to fix this?

open the black plastic panel and the aluminum panel which has 3 screws each in the back of the tv.
look at bottom left corner of top board. to the right of the red led light,
there's these four white small switches. turn the bottom two switches to "on" and tv should be working.
It's very simple to fix the problem to everyone.
My tv capacitor was not the problem.
I hope this will help everybody.

I have a Polaroid model TLX 04240B tv that works great for about 20 minutes then the screen goes black, if I turn the set off and back on it works for about 4 minutes before doing this again. Any advice?

Actually install a fan in the rear. 3 would be optimal

I have a polaroid 42 inch flat screen and the screen is solid blue when i plug my cable in it is black I can here sound but no picture it is a 2007 module tlx-04240b

Make sure all the connections are correct, a "blue" screen indicates no-signal, black indicates some type of signal is getting to the tv. good luck Julio [email protected]
