Kenmore He 3 model 11042832200 water leaking from the dispenser and draining down the outside of the washer. Water drains into washer fine when the dispenser cup is not in place, so there doesn't appear to be a clog in the drain to the washer. The dispenser drains fine (no clogs) when I run water through it over the sink. Any suggestions?

If you take the top off, you can see the whole part called the dispenser, https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/11042832200/0583/0153200.html
Check all the hoses etc. Yes you can even run the machine with the top off and see where the leak is. To take the top off there are three screws in the back at the top and when you remove those, the whole top lifts a slides back and comes off.

SOURCE: Drain Problem

The first thing you need to try is to pull a vacuum on the drain hose to see if you can pull water from the tub. You can do this by using a wet/dry shop vac and connecting it to the end of the drain hose. If the water drains from the washer you may not have a clog. It may actually be a bad drain pump. If water does not flow, or is draining slowly you will need to check the drain pump AND the hose between the pump and wash tub. You can accomplish this by removing the lower kick panel under the door. There are three 7mm screws under the bottom edge. The drain pump is located on the right hand side of the machine or directly in front under the wash tub. It is the ONLY pump in the washer so it should be easy to find. There is a clean-out access that you can remove to clean out the pump impeller. Removing this access will cause whatever water is remaining in the tub and drain lines to come gushing out. That's why it is important to try to remove as much water as you can, FIRST. Even if draining the tub with a vacuum is slow, let it drain. When removing the drain access, look for anything that may be obstructing the impeller. I have found items as small as a Q-tip can stop the pump (believe it or not). In a nut shell: Pull a vacuum on the drain hose - 1. WATER DRAINS EASILY - failed drain pump or obstructed impeller. 2. WATER DRAINS SLOW - Obstructed drain pump and/or drain line. 3. WATER DOES NOT DRAIN - Serious obstruction somewhere in the drain line BEFORE the pump (usually a sock or wash cloth that has worked it's way between the basket and wash tub). *You will notice the drain hoses collapsing as you pull a vacuum if there is a serious clog. Let me know if this helps you.

SOURCE: Kenmore 44072 Front Load Washer Drain Hose Cleaning

Try this link for step-by-step instructions. More than likely you will have to clean the drain pump as well.

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385844-checking_drain_pump_kenmore_elite_front

If you are having trouble draining the water from the wash tub, and cannot get it to drain with a shop vac, you can drain it directly from the tub. If you don't own a shop vac, you may have to bail. If your drain pump does not have a clean out trap, remove the inlet and outlet hoses to access the inside of the drain pump. Inspect the pump impeller for obstructions and/or damage. If the water will not drain when you try to pull a vacuum on the drain line, you may have to disconnect the drain hose from the bottom of the wash tub. In some front loaders, there is a ball valve in the drain hose from the bottom of the wash tub to the drain pump. This ball can act as a collection pint from lint and debris. You will need to remove the hoses from the bottom of the wash tub to clean this area. I would recommend doing this as a LAST resort. Often, it can be difficult to reconnect this hose to the tub and get it to seal correctly. I hope this helps you. Please post back if you need further assistance.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite HE3 F02 error

If you checked the drain pump reservoir and the problem still persists, you may have a pump with a damaged motor/impeller, or something lodged in one of the drain lines. In particular, the drain line that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the pump.

I recommend you remove the inlet hose, first and inspect for clogs. In is common for small garments to become lodged in this area and restrict water flow to the drain pump. Check the output drain line for obstructions as well.

It does not take much to damage this small drain pumps. The error code is generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes. So...if the impeller or motor become damaged, and the pump does not pull water at the correct volume, you may still experience the drain error. In this case, you will have to replace the pump in order to get the error to clear. The following link explains how:

Replacements can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartrsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. the first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Problem with spinning clothes

Hi

Error code F03 on Kenmore means that there is draining problem or a filling issue with the washer. Check if the washer is draining; also make sure that it is not kinked or clogged. If the drain hose is not kinked then next thing to check is Drain Pump. Check out this link to disassemble your washer---

Kenmore Washer disassembly

Now, check the drain pump for any blockages. Make sure that you have a container to collect water when you open drain hoses from the pump as it has a lot of water inside.

If the drain pump is fine then it is an issue with filling of washer. Check whether washer is filling and the pressure is fine. Also, make sure you check the softener dispenser. Pull the dispenser drawer out and clean it thoroughly. Make sure that the siphon hole in the dispenser is clear and not restricted or plugged. Please post back for any further assistance.

Kenmore front load washer is leaking water from soap

We had a similar problem with water coming out of the soap dispenser when the washer was run. I assumed that it was a problem with the water draining as everyone else posted here. I took off the front panel, got rid of the junk and drained it. Although this was great, it did not solve the original problem. It turns out that there was a sock stuck in between where the water comes out of the soap dispenser and in to the main compartment. Pulled it out with a needle nose plier and good to go. Thanks to everyone for their input here.

Kenmore Front Loading machine, does not drain the fabric softener

We had the exact same situation with the fabric softener not draining and here is how we fixed it. Turn the water off first, then remove the water lines that bring water into your washer. (They are near the top.) There is a screen in the end of the line, do not remove it, but take an old toothbrush and brush the gunk out and clean it as best you can. Do both the hot & cold sides. The screens keep any debris out of the washer, so after a while it collects and slows down the water intake time (has your washer been slow to fill also?) Screw back the lines, making sure to put the hot and cold back as they were originally, then test that they do not leak. Put your washer back in place and viola - problem solved! I hope this works for you, and good luck!
