My dishwasher will not start it has power no light comes on

My Maytag Dishwasher on/cancel and delay buttons will not light up! All other options light up, but the most IMPORTANTone that STARTS it will not, so it will not RUN, after a fews seconds - all lights go out! This MAYTAG dishwasher was purchased in DEC 2008 here it is JULY 2011, and on the 4th of JULY weekend is when this happened, worst time ever! I spent over $1100.00 on this nightmare! which included installation, but not before I had to have a ELECTRICIAN put in a PLUG under the sink next to it, I will never purchase from MAYTAG and HOMEDEPOT again, neither will stand behind their PRODUCT! I called MAYTAG directly and wasted my BREATH basically a NICE GET LOST MESSAGE from a CSR and SUPERVISOR there! I want to REPORT them to BBB!
Can SOMEONE tell me how to FIX-the-out-of-warranty piece of JUNK? HELP!!!! My DIRTY DISHES are taking over my KITCHEN I can't keep up! PLEASE somebody out there ...... Maybe the BESTsolution is a GIANT HAMMER in this case?

PS... I am not a Apprentice, and this post was for an answer not a solution, other than junking this thing with a HAMMER! I can't tell you how this mix up happened!

can you hear if the water is coming into the washer? if not then your problem may be the water inlet valve. it is located where the water line connects to the unit.

You may have power, however if a circuit board fails, all the power in the world won't start the washer. You need a technician to test the circuit for internal damage.

My frigidaire dishwasher model #fghd2433kf1

It is in a delay wash mode.
Disconnect power for 60 seconds.
Re-connect power.
Press the Cancel button.
Press the regular wash cycle and start the dw.

Bosch Dishwasher will not power on

I saw my repair man do the following, which you might try...
Open the door and simultaneously press & hold down the power button with the 2 buttons used on your model to "Cancel & Drain." If the unit comes on it now is in self-diagnosis mode. Release the buttons and close the door. The unit should start to fill with water. Press the power button to exit the mode.

1. No power to the dishwasherMake sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch
Replace if defective.

3. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

4. Selector switch
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

No power light comes on

bone, you probably have a blown thermal fuse that is located on the control board, easy fix. First check your wiring to the diswasher behind the bottom panel. I will attach a photo..Catriver..post back.
