Hi there,

An F1 usually means a communication error between the control board/touchpad and the motor/pump assy. Could you please supply the full model # for your unit?

Can you please tell us the exact model of your dishwasher? What you can try initially is unplug the power cable of your unit for about 10 minutes, then plug it back in. See if that clears the error. Will give you follow up about the E1 error.

The error code your receiving is an "Inlet Error" message. This means that no water is going into the Dishwasher. Please check the following:

1) Is the tap open.
2) Is the inlet hose kinked?
3) Is your water pressure fine? Because anything less than 0.3kgf/cm(bar) is not going to work

If all of the above is fine, then take off the inlet hose of the dishwasher, and clean the filter which is between the hose and machine (small circular filter). If still not working, then you will need to replace the inlet valve. I would suggest getting a L.G service agent to do so.

e1 is a leakage error. you will have to find where it is leaking from...crack hose .crack motor assy.. water must be leaking
The excessive RPM of Washing Motor happened during Wash cycle due to water leakage.
Water leakage in Hose connections. Water is leaked by damages. The Motor Water Seal leakage of Sump assembly. The height of Drain Hose connection (sink-Drain Hose) is not over 20 . Impeller of the Washing Pump is worn away.

Please check at both ends of the drain hose and confirm that you do nit have a leak. Also, please confirm that water is not leaking directly under the dishwasher.
If you are certain that you do not have a real leak, check the impeller (under the mesh filter in the sump area beneath the lower dish rack) is not damaged and is firmly in place.
The E1 error code is a Leakage Error, detected by the motor spinning faster than it should if the unit is filled with water.

Well done by resolving this problem. The other way to avoid the siphoning problem through the drain hose is adding an air gap valve/connector (available at any hardware store). You can use it even if you don't have a garbage disposal in your kitchen sink. That will assure that you have the proper height of the drain hose.

I have this sometimes where E1 is reported and the pump remains on. The following voodoo has worked for me.

1) Make sure there is not a real drain problem.
2) Cancel any cycle or turn the power button off then on.
3) Run a rinse cycle (15 minutes).
4) If pump continues to run, turn off the power to the dishwasher, let stand for a minute, then repeat steps 2-3. If still not working, leave power off over night and leave the door open then try again.

In each iteration, it is important to curse your LG product and/or threaten it with replacement.
