I believe that this site (fixya.com) is just a help site. I have found that in the past ten years, every TV set and computer as wll as several other devices have used the same type of power cords. If you have an older computer around, then the cord will fit most TV sets. You could drop by a computer fixet it store and they will either give you or sell cheap, (<5bucks) an old power cord. You could also look at the electronic store and find a usable cord that you can subs5titute.

Most power cords use a connector to the appliance that conforms to an international standard though some of these "standard" connectors are so little-used they would seem to be special to most ordinary folk.

Most domestic sound and vision has for some time mostly used the "figure-of-eight" reversible 2-pin connector. If yours is this type, they are available in a variety of lengths from almost anywhere.

I can't comment further without sight of your power cord.

Google/ Encompass Parts Distrubtion 1-800-638-3328 they will have what you need as well as Parts list for this Model You need to first Look for Bad Capacitors on Power supply Board, they will be vented or puffed up on top, and if power supply board is OK, then your problem will be the DMD Module

Remove battery from sears mower model 917.378402

Go to web sight searspartsdirect.com
Enter your model number on the right hand side of the page.
Click on engine-handle-housing
This takes you to a diagram that shows the battery #56. There are 2 screws to be removed on the side of the battery holder #100, and the power cord to be unplugged. Hope this helps.

Most manufactures have web sights. I would call them and request the web sight to register your product. also you can look through your warranty paperwork a lot of times the reregistration web sight will be listed somewhere on it.
