Htc p3300 not opening

I did storage clean up of my htc p3300 pda. While setting up the mobile on initial starting stage, when I come to " date and time setting " screen, the "Time zone" dropdown window is blank, hence I cannot set the time zone. Athough I am able to set the date and time on the screen but not the time zone. The mobile hangs up, does not respond to tapping on the screen. It then goes "off" on its own, the screen becomes black. The set does not respond to power "on" button also. Please help.

It looks like the phone software had been damaged. Try to do first a factory setting reset from phone setting menu.
If this does not fix it you can try downloading phone software update, probably this will sort it out.

Hi I am using Ultimate 8150 (Imate) and its giving "Tap the screen to set up your windows mobile based". Please help how can solve this

That is the setup required to be done after your phone is just bought or if it is updated. Simply at that point the phone has nothing in it. Just tap the screen and do as required. It will set the date and time and time zones and stuff. Just the initial setup, nothing to worry about

How do I use the internet with airtel GPRS? It is just not happening. What are the settings? I use HTC P3300.

Make a free call your providor Airtel's Support helpline from your mobile and ask them to send the GPRS settings directly to your HTC P3300
You may have to just click on Save option when you receive the settings and restart your mobile.
After that it should work fine.

Hard reset

Occasionally, you may need to reset your device. A normal (or soft) reset of your device clears all active program memory and shuts down all active programs. This can be useful when your device is running slower than normal, or a program is not performing properly. A soft reset is also necessary after the installation of some programs. If a soft reset is performed when programs are running, unsaved work will be lost.
You can also perform a hard reset (also known as a full reset). A hard reset should be performed only if a normal reset does not solve a system problem. After a hard reset, the device is restored to its default settings — the way it was when you first purchased it and turned it on. Any programs you installed, data you entered, and settings you customized on your device will be lost. Only Windows Mobile software and other pre-installed programs will remain.
To perform a soft reset
Use the stylus to press the RESET button found on the lower left side of your device. Your device restarts and displays the Today screen.

To perform a hard reset
htc_artemis_%28p3300%29_hard_reset_soft_reset_1_.jpg
  1. Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and the Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the lower left side of your device.
  2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two soft key buttons. Release them only when you see the following message on your device screen: “Press Send to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.“
  3. Press on your device. Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed.
