Count the number of times the power light blinks between pauses ie 4 blinks pause 4 blinks etc and this is the fault code If you have the users manual it might tell you what the code means. As long as the power eye blinks the scooter will not move and without knowing the error code I can't give you the definite answer Good luck

My Go-Go scooter when I put the lever and drive and I turn the key on and I hit the switch forward or reverse it will not move and does not beep either

Scooter won't move when I press the throttle lever?
  • When the manual freewheel lever is pushed forward, the brakes are disengaged and all power to the motor/transaxle assembly is cut.
  • Pull back on the manual freewheel lever, turn the Travel Scooter off, and then back on to return to normal operation.

Rascal scooter 245

Most of these chairs have a clutch release lever near the motors. Move it into free-wheeling and it should roll nicely.

Why won't my scooter freewheel?

If the brake release lever is not working by this I mean the lever will not move the release position, this could be a case of the brake mechanism has seized up due to water or that sand and grit has got in the brake jamming it.

Try a spray of WD40 on the bake lever mechanism and work the lever back and forth. Failing that brake will need to be replaced.

Scooter won't move

Things to check: Drive/Free wheeling switch, brake release lever (this activates an internal micro-switch that enable power to the drive system, battery box connectors (condition of contacts - corroded, missing, loose. etc.); main control cable (corrosion. lose or missing pins, etc). If all these are OK, could be controller or drive control potentiometers (speed, forward, backward) on the handle-bar (tiller).
Good luck!

My mpv4 is charged but won't move. How do I reset it?

Reset the main circuit by releasing and then re-engaging the manual brakes. They are located just above the footrest, in an opening between where the rider's ankles would be. Make sure the power chair is turned off and disconnected form the charger. Press the levers to the floor as far as they will go then pull them back up until they pop into place, then turn the chair back on. If the lights are solid, the chair should move, if they are blinking, that will indicate that there is another problem going on.
I hope this information is helpful, good luck!

1700 Fortress Scooter won't go forward or backwards. The beeping is continual and the driving light comes on if you turn it on. The brake is in brake release mode. The battery is charged up? What is the...

Hi. Has the machine been in regular use before the fault occured? You say that the brake is in brake release mode, this mode is only ever used if you need to push the scooter by hand. It releases the brake on the motor, and also operates a switch to disable the controller from driving the motor. It does this because it would be to dangerous to drive the scooter with the brake disabled.
Move the lever back to its correct position. If it still does not work, then the disable switch might be faulty, or it might be a different fault such as a stuck brush in the motor.
Is this machine produced by shoprider ( Phisang ) of Taiwan.
Please let me know how you get on. Neil.

I have a milan mobility scooter, turn the key & it sounds a low

Hi. This sounds difficult. I have had a few scooters move slowly forward or in reverse, but not both. Normally if the speed pot ( wig wag ) is not exactly in the central position, they can do this.
It is possible for a scooter to have your problem, if the speed lever is binding or rubbing on the housing. Normally the lever is returned to the middle by a spring around the speed pot shaft. If this spring is loose or broken, then this could also cause the problem. Sometimes a small spot of oil or grease will help.
To check the speed lever is in the middle, slowly move the lever for forward untill you hear the brake solenoid release. Now release the lever and slowly pull it for reverse untill you hear the brake solenoid release. Make sure that the speed lever moves the same amount for forward as it does for reverse. If not adjust it with the key off.
If you get the machine to drive properly, then change the controller to see if it is OK.
As for the beeping, a lot of machines will go into an error mode if the speed lever is not in the central position when you turn the key on. This is a safety precausion.
Good luck. Neil.
