Is there a windows 7 driver for an e machine t2042? where can I find it if there is one?

    It is an e machine t2042 and it wont even let me online. It tells me that it cant detect my network adapter and if I have one than I need to reinstall the drivers for it. I am not that computer smart so what do I do now?

Windows 7 always find the best drivers better than the other versions of windows. Make sure you have windows updates enabled and it will find all your drivers. This is an older machine originally designed for XP but Windows 7 will work make sure you have at least 1 gig of ram(memory). It has very common components like Intel Vga(video) and Realtek audio and Lan(network) and Windows update will find or already have the drivers. I have attached the link for you unit but emachines(gateway) does not even have Vista Drivers for it.

    Your emachines is really made by gateway. But let try going to device manager and then down to network adapters and see what is listed and try selecting update driver. Let me know what it says. Here is a link to realtek drivers you would have to download on another machine and get it to your emachine on a cd or usb drive. And choose "Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation"

    Here is another link to try : choose Win7 32/64 Auto Installation Program this is for older machine and may be better because there are no specs available for your machine since it is so old. If it does not work it can always be uninstalled

Open the cpu cabinet cover . Then reconnect RAM memory to motherboard clean dust from all parts. Reconnect processor and it's fan reconnect pci if any. Reconnect both connection to harddrive. This is unfortunately a common issue with "older" devices with Windows 7 not supporting a compatible device driver:. Your best chance is to install Windows XP in a Virtual Machine under windows 7: the free ''VirtualBox'' virtual machine is what I personnaly use for my incompatible devices.

Trying to install software for x4270 into new machine with Windows 7. Tells me software not available in English. Was previously installed with XP in old machine with no problems. Any ideas?
Uninstall the existing Lexmark X4270 printer driver from your Windows 7 by going the Start menu ? Programs ? Lexmark 4200 Series ? Tools ? Uninstall. Reboot pc when prompted. When pc turns on, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to the Start menu ? right-click on Computer ? click on Properties. Take note of the system type.
Download and install the X4270 driver for Windows 7 using the links below:

What is the best replacement for my T2042 computer.
It all depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a Gaming desktop then I'd recommend Alienware If your looking for producing and editing videos I'd recommend an HP or Sony possibly Mac. For an all around PC go for a Gateway, Acer, eMachine or any other lower branded computer.

Unfortunatly the full driver and software have not been created for Windows 7 for this particular Machine( mfc-210c)

You can install as printer and basic scanner by simply plugging in the USB cable, windows 7 will install the drivers automatically.

There isn't currently a Windows 7 driver available for this machine. You can attempt using a Vista driver or the driver may be available embedded within the Windows 7 software. Worst case, you can use a generic driver such as the HP Laserjet 4 driver. Using this driver should get you printing but may not allow machine specific functions. It is available from within the Windows 7 software.

The official line from Canon on Windows 7 drivers is to use the Vista Drivers until the Windows 7 drivers are released at some point in the future. Note that Windows 7 drivers will not be released for all machines.

Factory setting restore
If you have a Cd Rom called a Recovery Disk that usually comes with the computer. You can reformat the computer to it's original configurations. You will lose all data. It will be as if you took it right out of the box. Or on some computers you can do a Recovery only withour reformatting the PC. you will have to reinstall all updates , programs, etc. you turn off the computer and install the disc then you restart the computer. The disk will give you the option to Recover Only or Recover and Format.
