I cannot enlarge the script on my laptop as the zoom icon has disappered help

or you can make 3 fast clicks on home button and choose "zoom"

go in google and you will see 3 icorn in the right hand corner a house a star and a wheel click on the wheel go zoom(100%) click on that, enlarge everything to 100% percent

I think you want to know how to zoom on a internet page ..and this is made by holding down the ctrl and scrolling with the mouse or the pad..For other applications ..the zoom is located under preferences..or options ..
For the desktop ..the enlarging and minimizing is made from the properties (click right on desktop and choose properties..or personalize for w-7 )..in there on settings you have the possibility to enlarge icons ..and fonts ..

If the icons on your Home screen appear too large, the zoom feature may be enabled on your device. use iTunes to enable or disable any accessibility feature, including Zoom:

1. Connect your device to a computer and open iTunes.
2. Locate and click on the device under Devices
3. In the Summary pane, click Configure Universal Access:

Are you using the optical zoom or the digital zoom? digital zoom only enlarges the pixels and eventually distorts the picture. Optical zoom actually brings the subject closer.

My wife just had this same problem. The entire screen gets zoomed in to where the icons are large. I found that it is a 3-finger double tap function that causes this.

Try double tapping your screen with 3 fingers simultaneously and see if this fixes your problem.

There is an opion under conrol panel, accessibility options to zoom or enlarge fonts etc. for visually impaired people.. But also I guess there might be a hot key you have hit by accident, that zooms the desk top. What model of HP? Also right mouse click the desktop, click properties & check the 'appearance' settings.. There is an option for large icons & fonts. Maybe the HP hotkeys hook into that Windows option. Rgds,
