I lost the admin password for my DWL 3200P AP but i dont want to reset it because of the configuration that is on the AP...is there any way out by not loosing the configuration.

First, make sure you disable the proxy if you`re using one, then open up your web browser and type in this address: 192.168.0.50. A login dialog will show up. The username:admin , left the password empty. Log in, and from there you can configure your AP. Good luck

Press and hold the reset button on the back of the router for 15 seconds and it will load everything back to default.

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. Then configure wan settings and lan settings enable wireless if you want to use wifi If you are still not able to access with above ip then press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults then you can access it with above ip . WAN settings are your internet service provider settings if you want to know wireless settings then click on wireless then you can find your wireless settings .

Reset the router
Open your browser and go to 192.168.0.1
Type admin as username
Leave the password blank

Remove 13 screws from the perimeter of the back side of the DWL-2700AP and pull the covers apart. On the inside along the bottom adjacent from where the network cable plugs in, you will find a reset button. It is next to the white plug that leads to the antenna. You will need a flat screwdriver or something thin and sturdy to wedge between the casing and the reset button. While the AP has power, press the button and hold it in for a few seconds then release. Give it a few minutes and the factory defaults should be restored. Default IP: 192.168.0.50, Default subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

When you reset the AP, how long did you press the reset button? To reset the AP to factory defaults, the reset button should be pressed and held for at least 15 seconds. Also, once reset, the AP should have the following settings:

IP address: 192.168.0.50
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default admin username: admin
Default admin password: <blank>

When connecting your PC, either set an IP address within the same subnet (192.168.0.51 255.255.255.0) or choose "Obtain address automatically".

If your AP password erros, you can't enter the setup page of your AP in you browser. Do hard reset. Press little button behind your AP about 30 seconds. Will reset your AP to factory default, IP 192.168.0.50 subnet 255.255.255.0 user name: admin password: leave it blank.

Restore it to default, with these things, if it wont work on automatic, then something is worng.
