CIRCUIT BOARD Where did you order the circuit board? Several of the parts distributors online did not locate the model number of the dehumidifier. Or, do I need to take the circuit board out and order by part number? Scott
I've replaced mine twice. water pools under the board and shorts it out. I raised the mounting points this time around. I found the board at Appliance Parts 866-312-3498

I'd say you're right on target. In which case, although the unit was manufactured my Whirlpool for Sears under their house brand, Kenmore. You can find the part(s) online at Sears Parts Central http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action . If you can do the replacement yourself, you'll really save $$ on labor.
Glenn, here is a link to Delonghi Parts and Accessories website. You can order parts there if you have the Part Number. Or you can call Delonghi at 800-865-6330.
HI, you can purchase this Board by clicking the link below. it will direct you to an online parts store. you can purchase the Board at this site location as well if you wish.
After all that testing you have diagnosed the problem. It is the main circuit board. So there is not reason to do any more test. I would just get a new control board and off you go
We all appear to be in the same mess --Thanx Haier
This product says its Amana, but rest assured it is an Haier
The problem is most likely with the engineering design of the board. Im not an electrical engineer so be careful litning to me to closely :) There is only a half bridge rectifier on this board and 2 zener diodes that clamp down on the voltage. My guess on yours is the Zeners have been shorted and no longer clamping voltage down to aroun 24 volts for the low side of the board. I spoke with Haier and they have no schematics that state the zener specifications. They also said there was a 6 month backorder on ordering a new board. Oh and by the way if you want to order a new board and wait 6 months for the backorder it would cost you 75.00. All this jsut to repeat the problem again, because of bad design. O well ----- I wish products were not made better, so I wouldnt have to fill guilty about putting this in the landfills.
Normaly they sell the complete circuit board for these units. If you have a part that is blown out, it is very probable that there are other parts that are damaged as well.
During warranty, they do not normaly fix these boards. They replace the board with a new one.
I would be looking at replacing the complete board. What will most likely happen and I have seen it often, is in this type of case, when a blown part is replaced, it blows again, because the parts that caused the failure must be also changed. I don't think you have the necessary tools, training, and design information about the circuit board to troubleshoot it properly to know the condition of all the other parts involved.
Sometimes there boards are rather expensive. You may find it more feasible to buy a new unit.
Looks like a control board, Check the board for burn marks. What model do you have? Some parts are available on-line at appliance factory parts.. also check your Capacitor and fan motor before you install your new Board..Let me know if this helps?

This dehumidiifier has an inherent design problem. There is a control printed-circuit board mounted above the cold coil, sitting in a shallow plastic well. The moist air eventuall condenses in the well and shorts out the board. I have found this on 2 units now. You can order a new board on line and it installs with just push on wire connectors. That will fix the unit but I suggest you mount the new board with longer screws and spacers to raise it out of the well.
