My Projection Tv - when I turn on it turns right back off no picture no sound ? help

Tv now,have a LED light indication "LAMP" on the frame are blinking or flashing.Metallic sound are clicking noises?Yes,sound like the board that call the Ballast board it is dead.This Ballast board only job are to ignite the tv projection lamp only.U have some mechanicals skills like take things aparts and putting it back together again?Yes,tries websites like Partstore.com,Ebay.com to buy a new Ballast board for the replacement.The tv projection lamp might have to be replacement change too,because,when the Ballast board has died and exploded the voltages and current high voltages could have more than the tv projection lamp now could take.

I have a Philips Magnavox Projection TV.

I had dish satelight install on my TV. It worked well for two days, then the picture started showing in a square box. I ffixed the convergence and it seemed okay. The next day I turned on the tv and it had sound, but no picture. When I press the status button, the picture would come on then go right back out. Now I don't have any sound or picture. Power converter board it dead.
Need to be replace.

U obviously don't have all ur sund cables connected right or if ur running it through ur sound system put it on phono

Resolder pinns on FBT flyback transfomer and on tuners.

Replace Convergence IC's STK392-110 and any burnt resistors
& check fuses F851,852,853,etc.........................T

i unplugged my tv and when i turned it back on had picture but no sound and all cards are still in tack.

resolder the vertical output IC . bad solder there can make the CRTs blank for protection and you will lose the picture when the vertical drops out.

Turn off the closed caption on the TV set. Someone has turned on that feature. Good Luck

That sounds like the screen and focus controls you are adjusting. It sounds like you have a bad HV Splitter inside the TV. #205064 or #204809 Depending on your model number. http://www.matelectronics.com/acatalog/Mat_Electronics_Replacement_Parts___TV_134.html sells them for about 20 bucks.
