Newer monitor won't work with packard Bell R450

Wow, it's about time to dump the Packard Bell. Maybe the Video Card has gone bad in the Packard Bell and if you fix it your old monitor might work.

PACKARD BELL iXtreme I5622UK DVD Driver problems

You need to UNINSTALL the drivers and not delete them if you had done so on the PC. If this wont help it is possible that the OS must be reinstalled after formatting of the drive and thereby the drivers can be installed.

I want to reformat PB MS2303

Packard Bell is a computer manufacturer, now owned by Acer. Restoring your computer will erase the hard drive and install a fresh copy of Microsoft Windows. This is beneficial if the Packard Bell is showing its age and running extremely slow or has been hit with an incurable virus infection. Before attempting to restore the system, be sure to back up any data you wish to save.

1.Insert the Windows Setup CD/DVD into the computer's optical drive. The disc will have been included with the Packard Bell computer.

2.Restart the computer with the disc inserted. A black screen will appear when the disc is detected, displaying "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..." Press any key on the keyboard to launch the Windows installer. The "Install Windows" screen will appear.

3.Click "Next."

4.Select "I accept the license terms" and click "Next."

5.Click "Custom" when asked what type of installation you'd like. The other option is "Upgrade," but in order to restore your Packard Bell system to its factory settings, you must reformat the hard drive.

6.Click "Drive Options" when asked where to install Windows. Select the C: drive and click "Erase." Select the unallocated space after it has been erased, and click "Format." Format the space using the "NTFS" file system.

7.Click "Next" and Windows will begin reinstalling on the Packard Bell's hard drive. The system will reboot when finished and launch into your newly restored Packard Bell.

How can i reformat my packard bell laptop without the recovery cd?

The recovery cd is just a Pre-Built Windows version that includes the drivers you need for your computer.
If you want to format your pc and lack the original recovery cd, you just need to get a Windows (or other operating system you want) installation CD/DVD, put it on your optical drive and reboot your computer.
On installation, you will be asked what you want to do: Fix or Install. Choose install and check to format your disk.
After installation, if something doesn't work, its because you don't have the needed drivers, so go to Dell's Support Page find your computer, download and install the drivers you are lacking (video card graphics, sound, etc.)
Hope it was helpful ;)

Packard Bell computer won't play dvds.

This sounds like a common problem. You need to install the drivers (small programs that instruct the computer to notice and manipulate peripherals, like a dvd or cd player, sound card, etc...).

The easiest place to find your specific driver is at the Packard Bell web site under support > Downloads. There are MANY sites (even some that advertise on this very site) that say they have the drivers for your dvd drive, but go directly to your manufacturer's web site. These companies that provide drivers for computers install a program into your computer and there is a fee for use of these web sites.

UPDATE: I just checked the Packard Bell Web Site and was unable to find specific drivers for your particular model. They stopped making them some time ago, and no longer support the model. That being said, you can still conceivably find the drivers, it will just take some investigative work on your part. In doing a broad search on the internet, I found that many people are looking for that very driver, which is an indication it has become hard to find.

Require a new copy of Windows XP for my Easynote F5280 HR because the preinstalled version (now downloaded) has an Error 11 and will not complete its re-installation

if the copy is a legal one and you have the key try to clean the hard disk of any old data, killdisk is a good tool for this, then reformat the hard disk and perform a clean install of the OS.
