Hello
Your clock has a backup battery. Battery is for time backup only.

The clock and alarm memory will

be retained during a power

interruption. During battery

backup operation, the display

will not light up, but the correct
time will be maintained internally
The mains transformer inside it will be of 10.2vAC secondary to 120VAC primary. OK.

I have Sumheat S3 Hayward pool heater I also do not have 24 V output between the blue and yellow cables coming from the transformer. Do I need to replace the transformer? Thanks Cecilia

The 24v is called the secondary and sometimes called the out-put. Make sure you have 240v on the primary, sometimes referred to as the in-put. If you have primary voltage then you should have secondary voltage, if not then replace transformer. Make sure the secondary, 24v control fuse is the correct size and present. If the secondary is shorting together or to ground somewhere, it will cause damage to the transformer.

How to measure Voltage in Transforme for Fitness Treadmill

Transformer Test Procedure:1). Make sure that transformer wire connections (CON1) to the drive board are secured. Turn unit on.2). Put multimeter to the AC voltage setting. Insert meter probes into the transformer primary (red)wires as shown. Normal reading: 110V. This shows that there is power to the transformer.3). Test transformer output by probing on secondary (output) wires: black and black, white and white, orange and orange, yellow and yellow

Transformer Test Results :1). If there is no voltage across the primary (red) wires, inspect F1 fuse on the drive board and power to the drive board. 2). If there is voltage across primary wires but none across secondary wires, the transformer is bad.Replace it.

Transformer Wire Colors Normal Voltage Value:
Red and Red 110 VAC.
Black and Black 11-13 VAC
White and White 11-13 VAC
Orange and Orange 27-29 VAC
Yellow and Yellow 10-12 VAC

I need to replace the transformer inside my 12 volt charger. I can not find who makes the ES -66-287rev5 transformer. Need help.

If you have the skill to determine the transformer input is open, I would expect you have the skill to replace a transformer. Based on this assumption: determine the input voltage (120 vac?), determine the output voltage (14 vac?), determine the power requirements (output voltage times the charging current), find a transformer at www.digikey.com or www.mouser.com or www.newark.com.

I have a LG LRE30453SW Electric Range and the relay pcb keeps going bad. I get an F7 error when starting the oven. The first time I noticed the black line in, from the power terminal, to the relay pcb was...

First, check the 220v line and breakers are properly grounded and that you are getting a constant 220v at the plug. Then you will need to check the transformer on the unit.To test a transformer you need to know what type of transformer it is first. There is a step up transformer which steps the voltage up and a step down transformer which steps the voltage down.
You will still test the transformers the same way for step up and step down transformers. If it is a step up transformer apply the incoming power to the transformer or plug it up. Now take your multimeter and place it on the AC volt scale and test the voltage if the voltage on the data plate says the transformer should step up to 220 volts and it doesn't then your transformer is bad.
Now repeat the same steps for a step down transformer. Plug up the incoming or primary power and test voltage on the outcoming or secondary side the voltage should step down to the proper value. If you don't read any voltage on the secondary or outgoing side then the transformer is bad.
To read the voltage place the two meter leads on the secondary side, or the side you will plug your equipment into. If the secondary side is an outlet then place the two meter leads into the top two slots in the plug and read voltage. You also want to make sure the incoming power is working as well. Otherwise you will be reading a bad reading every time.
If all that looks good, then you will need to replace the control board. Here is a link to the parts for your range.

Screen does not switch on at all , and no sound either. However standby light is on only when plugged. TV repair told me it is transformer and line up, however asking for more then 100...

Hello, most common faults, such as CRT TV will not turn on. The reason stems from the low power supply failure, or from the high power supply. There are two transformers suppliers, with more common high-tension transformer goes bad. Price of 80 or $ 100, sounds reasonable replacement of transformer. Along with this need to perform some tests that require a professional, to confirm that the problem is due because of transformer. One test is to test basic stability, voltage power reaching the high-voltage transformer. If lower than normal voltage. Then perform the same test, when you break the initial snap of the transformer. If the voltage rises to the desired level must be to replace the high voltage transformer. Good luck!

I replaced my thermostat last night without

check for 24 volts ac at R & C terminals at the t-stat. Your transformer will have 4 wires hooked up to it. Two on one side and two on the other. Two of them will read either 120v or 240 v ac depending on whether you have a 120 or 240 v voltage. The other side should read 24 volts. If you are not reading 24 volts, then you have burnt the transformer and will need to replace it. If you are reading 24 volts, check to see if there a low voltage fuse located on the control circuit board or somewhere between the transformer and "R" terminal.
Here's a picture of a typical low voltage transformer found in an A/C system:

If you replace the transformer, add a 5 amp fuse on one of the 24 volt leads......this will save you from having to replace another transformer in the event of future "short" in the low voltage circuit.

hi mike,

I’m sorry to tell you this but; I wouldn't recommend using a different transformer, even if it's the same size, it could cause serious damage. The HV transformer should only be replaced with the exact replacement part.
