I m not able make calls , but SMS and able to receive calls. any settings we need to change?? Rzr 3i

Usually refilling a phone does not change the apn settings, so you must check it to see if there has been any changes, this what it allows you to access the internet and mms.

Are you referring to a mobile phone not receiving text messages (SMS)?
If yes, what brand and model as well as the network provider and your general location pls?

Usually a smart phone, or even a flip phone is already set for SMS. What happens when someone sends you a text message? You may need to change a setting to receive MMS messages, but normally SMS is like a phone call, it just works if the right number is used.

Hi,

To see your call durations on a Nokia phone.

• Press Menu
• Press Log, which is a green and blue arrow

That will get you into recent calls,,,,,,,,Missed, Received and Dialled calls.
Scroll down to Call Duration which will give you total time for , Last call, Dialled numbers, Received calls, and All calls.

SMS, go to Messaging

• Inbox tells you how many sms received
• scroll down to Sent messages to show how many sms sent.

But that depends on your settings on your phone, go to,

• Messaging
• Options
• Scroll to Settings
• Scroll to Other
• From there you can change Number of saved sent messages you can store.

you have wrong network seleckted you can change settings in icon messages there settings and there you can find network options then choose your network.

there are only settings on the phone that will stop sending of messages, settings will not stop the receiving of messages (unless their mms - picture messages). I would suggest you speak to your network as it maybe something on your account at their end that needs fixing?
Incoming mesages (sms) are directed at your mobile number so the phone will receive them as you do a call.
Let us know how you get on?

if its a new phone / sim then you might need sms / wap settings sent from your service provider to set the sms message centre number in your phone etc.

Alternatively some SP's require you to call them and register a payg phone to enable full functionality, call your customer service line and explain, they will fix it right away.

Check that your Band Setting is correct.Press the centre key then >Settings>Network>Band Selection>900/1800 or 850/1900.Your band setting is dependent on your region.Set it accordingly.I hope this fixes your problem.

check to see if your phone lock is restricting your phone dialing out. that will allow you to recieve phone calls but not make any of your own. to check if this is it go to settings, security, restict calls enter your unlock code if you know it or if it has not been changed, outgoing calls and see if it's own allow if not change it. if it's not the problem sorry.
