LWe had a storm the other night and the power was off for several hours and when the power came back on the control panel on the oven would not work. You could hear the motor running to lock the door for cleaning and it would lock but would not stay locked. The serial # to the range is VF3241001 and the model# is FEF367CATA.

You should have either a shorted out door switch or a shorted out light switch on the control panel.
Removing either one and unplugging it should show you which one is the problem.
God bless your efforts.

Make sure the charger operates first. If it does, try this. It worked for me. Put the battery in the freezer over night. In the morning put it in the sun for several hours. You must be sure the internal batteries are fully thawed. Then recharge normally. You'll get up to 75% capacity back. If this trick doesn't work, then the battery is not repairable.
Remove set and a cable or sat box or a receiver if in line , remove all from power for several minutes and then power back, a reboot may help and cannot hurt.
If nothing--no power light or anything either open the set to look for a bad fuse or if not able or qualified (have to be rather careful) take it to a shop.
I just encountered the same problem. Power surge during storm caused the control panel to go blank. I removed the panel to get the part number. Reinstalled control panel and it started working. Below are the steps
1) Turn off breaker
2) Unplug unit
3) Remove rear panel
4) Unplug all connections to control panel
5) Wait 5-minutes
6) Reconnect all wires in reverse order
7) Install rear panel
8) Plug in unit
9) Switch breaker to on position
Control panel came on, set clock and all oven functions worked.
There
should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit
behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is
very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.
At
our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes. You can find helpful
exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model
number here. You should check the fuse, the magnetron thermostat, and the oven cavity thermostat.
Accessing some components (the oven cavity thermostat for instance) for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall.
If
so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have
two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.
You can download GE
owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

i just had this same issues happen after running the self clean cycle. f1 error, fan would come on, fan would turn off. its not the control board, its the temperature probe. I picked up the part for 40 bucks and put it in myself. plugged the stove back in and it was good to go. the old temperature probe's wires melted during self clean. note to self: clean you over the old fashion way with some elbow grease.
