I have just replaced the fan for this oven as it had stopped spinning. However it appears not to be the fan that has broken as the new one behaves the same. One important obserbvation is that when you switch it past the first click - light only no heating element on, the fan spins. The moment the heating element kicks in , the fan stops. There is obviusly some control mechanims that controls power to the fan (a yellow wire goes up towards the control knob area. Is there another replacement part or shall I just wire in the fan to be on all the time? :-)

Strange one this. According to the wiring and circuit diagrams, the yellow wire from the fan should go to contact 4 on the main oven switch. The oven element is connected to the thermostat, which in turn is connected to contact 3 on the oven switch. When the oven is on the handbook says that contacts 1,3 and 4 are made, contact 1 being the oven lights. So if the lights come on and the fan turns, the switch is more or less working. The only other thing that overrides the oven element is the thermal cutout. If you still have the problem, let me know what the thermostat neon is doing in all of this. It will be interesting to see what this is doing. Also, if you want the handbook which includes the diagrams, post your email address and I will send you a pdf copy.

AEG double oven/grill stopped working

It appears the oven has shorted out. Try checking the breaker box and see if any switches have been flipped. If this is not the case a new oven is in order.

Bosch HBN 91 Sticky Fan

Yes you can oil the shaft...but the problem is within the bearing itself. You might be lucky and only have to oil it once...but chances are your bearing will sieze again...I suggest you remove and replace the fan.

Fan has stopped working in main oven, element is fine recently replaced (2008).Is this terminal or can it be repaired

It is usually better to have a new fan fitted than to try to repair it unless it is something simple like a broken wire.

When we switch the oven off the centrifugal blower continues as it should for a while then as soon as it stops it trips the circuit breaker in the house. I would be glad if you could help to identify the...

Someone else had the same problem. The cooling fan motor insulation appears to be breaking down due to heat/age etc. In the Stoves the fan is secured to the oven by a metal bracket. What I should say is that it appears you need a new cooling fan. However, the solution he came up with was to manufacture a bracket out of something that wasn't metal and heat resistant and replace it and it worked. I would only do this if you new what you were doing!

MAIN OVEN FAN STOPPED WORKING

Firstly switch off the stove isolator(switch)

1:I would suggest removing the back panel and checking the wires to the motor to see if any terminals have broken/fallen off(on the Zanussi ovens you should be able to see these easily). Also check that the armature can spin freely.

2:If OK, Switch isolator and stove back on and check for voltage (230v) to these terminals.

3:If No 1&2 solutions have not solved your problem please come back to me.

Hope I have resolved you question, but please leave positive feedback if so , as it still takes time to answer questions and it would just be nice to know if I have helped.

Fan stopped working

If it is heating without the fan working, then there is probably something wrong with the fan.
If there is no heat as well as the fan not working, then check that the timer is set to manual and not on auto.
To access the fan and heater, remove the rear panel inside the oven, spin the fan by hand,it should be completely free,
If it is not, then it needs replacing.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks

Neff 1861 oven fan stopped working

Fitting new bulb would not cause fan to stop working.
If it is getting hot, then there is something wrong with fan, try spinning fan by hand, it should be free, and continue to spin under it's own momentum.
Hope this helps.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Noisy Oven when heating up & fan spinning

Neth, Im not familiar with this oven but I thing someone is handing you a line. I've been doing this for 30 years now and never saw a oven cavity arch when heating. The fact is that there is something wrong with the fan motor or fan blades itself. Call this cat back and have them honor your warranty...Catriver..post back.
