If the product you are planning to apply has a spreader setting for a Scotts SpeedyGreen, or specifially for the SpeedyGreen 3000; you can use that recommendation in your Scotts EdgeGuard DLX . If they do not have a suggested spreader setting for the SpeedyGreen or SpeedyGreen 3000, then this question would best be answered by calling Scotts directly at 1-800-543-8873. Need a setting for Scott's Speedy Green EdgeGuard mini

First, I went to the products website, in this case Lesco and looked up the spreader settings:
https://www.johndeerelandscapes.com/home/spreader-settings.aspx

Then, I went to Scotts website and looked up spreader settings:
http://www.scotts.com/smg/node2/SCOTTSCOM/lawn-care/lookup-spreader-settings/7800015-24900013-s

I cross referenced a product on the Scotts website that uses the same settings as one of those listed on the Lesco website and I found my settings that way.

In my case I was using Lesco Pre-M 0.86% 0-0-7 and wanted to apply 5.3 lbs/1000ft. My spreader was a Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini with settings from 0-15. I found out by cross referencing that the Scotts Speedy Green 1000 and my spreader used the same settings. So I ended up using the recommended setting of 5.5, as listed on the Lesco website for the Scotts Speedy Green 1000, to apply 5.3 lbs/1000ft of pre emergent using my Scotts EdgeGuard Mini.

Hope this helps!

I have a Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini, and I'm using Ace turf builder (crabgrass preventer with fertilizer). What setting should I use???

I was just told by Scott's phone customer service (800-543-8873) that their TurfBuilder EdgeGuard mini can use the same settings as their "SpeedyGreen" broadcast spreader, if your fertilizer lists that one.

Can I use my dlx spreader to apply lime? How do I figure the setting to use. My soil analysis calls for 50 lbs per 1000sqft.

Yes, lime can be applied in the in the Scotts DLX spreader. for a 50# per 1000 square foot application rate it is suggested to use a spreader setting on 7 on you model, and to walk over the same area three times. If you have any further questions feel free to contact Scotts @ 1-800-543-8873
