Am trying to install HP 60 ink cartridges in my wife's F4280 printer. They don't seem to easily fit. Is there a readable graphic to assist me?

You have the wrong cartridges, that model uses the 300 or 300XL cartridge http://www.internet-ink.co.uk/hp-ink-cartridges-f4280/

My c4180 printer says Ink cartridge problem. Remove and check colour cartridge. Cant get message to go away. I use original Hp ink cartridges

If the color cartridge contacts are clean and there is stil ink in the cartridge.
What you could try is to remove both ink cartridges.
Close cover and turn off printer and unplug the printer.
Wait at least 15 minutes for the printer to reset to clear memory.
Plug the printer back in and turn on and install the ink cartridges.
If you cartridge is not empty and has not expired.
You may call HP and ask for a free replacement.

Ink and printer

You'll need to either put it back in or replace it.
You need to have both color and black cartridges in for your printer to work.
Never throw away cartridges, save money and refill them or you can take them to most any computer store for recycling.

Alarm says "wrong cartridge"

That happens when the print head sensor does not detect the cartridge.

To start unplug printer power cord for two minutes, and see if this can reset the error.

The wrong cartridge error may be caused also by a bad cartridge, therefore ,as first step you need to est a different cartridge, possibly a new original one.

Check also if the cartridge metal sensor inside the ink carriage is dirty and must be clean, in this case use isopropyl alcohol and cotton to clean metal contacts inside the carriage.

If that cannot fix the problem, then there is a lose connection on the wires connected to the ink carriage / print head assembly. TWhen that happens, the wires connected at the back of the ink carriage must be tested and eventually replaced.

Still stuck ! color cartridge carrier won't move to allow my replacing them as you have suggested.

What kind of cartridges did you replace with?
Like with original ones or the other replacement you get in market.
Because with use to duplicates you get this problems many times.
If you are using original cartridges then try replacing all the cartridges at once.
And even if this does not work then may be you need to take the printer to the vendor to get it repaired.

Wrong colours!

Hi Dannydoda,

I understand that, you are using different compatible ink cartridges and having problem with colors.

HP printers has a small built in firmware, which can detect the original ink cartridges and the ink level.

Using other compatible ink cartridges may damage the print heads of the printer.

I suggest you to replace the ink cartridges with original or Genuine HP cartridges.

You can also try some of the steps to fix the issue as given in the web link.

please click on the web link given below and perform the steps carefully.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00042885&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=79499

This should fix the issue.
Have a great day!

Wrong colour cartridges

Did you try the genuine HP cartridge? Maybe you should try first the original Ink Cartridge.
