Hi Keith: You can check menu settigns there? Take pics/videos and this appears black in the pc monitor after transference or download pics/videos? If your answer is yes, dont sound like a LCD problem.

The other choice, could be a malfunctioning CCD (Charge Coupled Device) image sensor... in both cases (LCD or CCD) this isn't a job that you could solve yourself; this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

I suggest check this link for additional details in this previous solutions for an Defective CCD and next contact your Samsung service. I strongly suggest (taking into consideration the age of your camera) to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of a new camera with similar features, before making a final desicion.

No, the ViviCam 3330 does not record any sound. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software on a computer, but you cannot record one on this camera.

There is two reasons. 1 is lens problem Then the shutter (iris motor) not working this sometimes sticks two shtterplates. If u can remove the iris motor & clean the plates & refix it again it can solve. It is very delicate u must be very careful. If iris motor problem u can find out very easly. When u power off the camera u place the camera's lens area to ur ear u can hear the click sound then lens is ok. if no click sound shutter is not working. 2. mostly ccd deffective or ccd drive circuit problem

Try to run cleaning tape, it may solve your problem.

This is a really simple problem and easy to solve.  Unfortunately the videos you've recorded cannot be changed back because they have been recorded in Time Lapse mode.  
With the camera switched on in Video Mode turn the control dial on the back (this is the dial to the right of the LCD screen).  This will change the settings from TIME LAPSE to STANDARD.  There are actually 6 different modes but the best one for normal videos is STANDARD.  There is a HIGH RESOLUTION setting,  however these record fewer frames per second (fps) so whilst the quality is better per frame,  there are half the amount of fps so the the movie will look at bit jerky.
It's really easy to accidentally twist the dial when holding the camera,  so always check the icon in the top right of the LCD before recording to make sure its just a yellow camera in a yellow square.  
This should be problem solved for all future recording.

To my knowledge, an Olympus FE-170 has no audio recording capability and records the video on 15FPS.

Record in slow mo mode, then playback in fast forward mode ;) Problem solved. You'll see the video in normal speed.

you will ruin the video head for doing that the cleaner is very rough...forward a blank new tape 5 times as you needed......if nothing happen check the video head appearance maybe have crack or weak already....
