The DVD gets stuck inside Philips DVP3140 DVD Video player. Eject button opens the DVD door and the tray comes out empty. I can see from the open door that the disk gets stuck inside. I tried various methods. I tapped the player while ejected the disk, etc. Nothing worked. What should I do?

How to get a dvd tray unstuck

There are two ways to open the CD/DVD drive door if the button just below the drive tray does not work.
Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject.
If this does not work then you can manually open the CD/DVD drive tray by -
Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drive tray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive tray pops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CD/DVD disc.
If you still having problem opening with the Eject button, then the CD/DVD drive is faulty and needs replacing.

2. Turn the unit off and the on again
3. Open the tray
4. On the remote, hit 9879 and the region code. For any-region support hit 0.

My DVD Player does not reject a DVD. It gets stuck.

I had been closing the door at the DVD slot manually. I found that if I closed the DVD door with the close button, and then opened it with the open button, it no longer got stuck.
