The drain is blocked.slime builds up in the drain line and then the water freezes in the line, unplug the fridge, melt out all the ice at the bottom of the back panel, you'll see a drain hole there,i use a steemer to blow through the drain line,if you don't have a steemer hit the hole with the hair dryer for a while, then pour hot water into the hole,if the water doesn't drain down the hole try using a turkey baster to blow out the line,or you can try to snake something down the drain hole but be careful,it's made of plastic, when you think it's clear pour hot water down the hole again if it doesn't drain keep hitting it with the hair dryer until the water drains down the hole, sometimes it takes like an hour to free it.

Fridge warm, freezer has frost on back panel & is defrosting, fans work, just changed defrost thermostat, no air is moving from freezer side to fridge side, drain pan under fridge is dry

this fan needs to run when the compressor runs, check fan blade for being jammed by ice if you have this much ice on back wall as ice will stall motor,if no fan there will be no cool air to refrige compartment also the defrost drain tray will fill with water then freeze over which in turn floods the freezer floor and refrige compartments cause it cannot drain to the pan in the bottom

Refrigerator - freezer leaks water from the bottom. Ice builds up on bottom and over flows out the door.

You have a defrost drain that is plugged. Look inside and way in back of the freezer and on the very bottom. Also you could pull the refrig out from the wall and look back there.Hope this helps.

I just bought a house with a Kenmore stainless steel bottom drawer freezer. The freezer drawer does not close completely and large amounts of snow and ice accumulate inside. I have taken the drawer out,...

Check top see if the arms of the drawer are fully seated into the rails which support it and extend from inside the freezer when the drawer is opened. On most french door refrig's, there are hooks on the back side and tabs on the front side which are sometimes hard to get back in. Then the door is locked into the rail with a screw at the point where the rail meets the freezer door.

How do i take freezer door off a side by side frig that has water/ice options

usally a quick disconnect block for wireing harness on top freezer hing. There will be a water supply tube going up through bottom freezer hinge with a disconnect union fitting close by usally under refrig behind toe grill. once these are disconnected you can then take top hinge off of main part of refrig. by taking screws off on top of upper freezer hinge. you then should be able to lift door off by lifting up on door and water line should slide up and through the bottom hinge.

Ice maker stopped making ice. Now water continuously drips.

Replace the water valve behind refrig , where the wall water line connects to on refrig .

I have a Kenmore model 795 77563600 refrig side

This is an error code for the icemaker fan motor.
If the control does not see a signal coming back from the fan motor you will get this error code.
Please see the image below from the service manual that explains the ER IF error code.

http://media.fotki.com/1_p,wkbwtkdqbqkgrkkxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/ktfgsrbbdxktrrwffdr/1/1303472/5961857/image18067img-or.jpg

The ER IF code indicates a failure of the icing fan.

You may notice slower ice production but the other fans should be okay.

You can select the ultra ice option and see if the fan toggles on.

The fan or the control is bad.

Ice maker is making hollow ice cubes, some only half frozen

Most ice makers have an adjustment screw to control the cube size. Its usually hidden behind a plastic panel on the front of the ice maker. A quarter turn either way and some trial and error testing should get you pointed in the right direction to your ideal ice cube.
