Virus in my laptop, toshiba brand - Computers & Internet

The poor signal strength can be due to a lot of reasons, just a few to point,

1. Any magnetic or electrical interference
2. the location of the wireless router (If installed near an high voltage electrical wiring etc.,)
3. If any GSM towers installed very close to your location. As this has more signal strength then what your router does.

Try this!!!
1. Change your router location.
2. Try to un-install the WLAN drivers from your laptop and restart before installing new.
3. Try to check if you have pasted any sticker on the back pan of your LCD screen as the antenna is built-in at the back of your LCD.
4. Make sure you use the same drivers of WLAN which came with the laptop dvd etc.,

first make sure that LAN driver/ internet controller is installed in you win7 laptop.
post your computer discription ; model and brand so anyone who see it will give you a link to your LAN
driver.

Yes, reseting your laptop to original setting is possible.
It is called as formatting.If you format all the content in laptop will be lost.Please take back up and then format it.

Please get the boot up CD for your operating system(windows 2000 ,XP)

Put the CD in drive and restart the laptop.
It ask 'reboot from CD'.
Give enter it will start formatting the laptop.After formatting the laptop will be brought to original settings

Did you reload the Toshiba drivers? Go to Toshiba.com, U.S. Services and Support, Laptop Computers. Once at the Support page, select Download. I couldn't find a listing for the Portege M600, but there is for the M700. Look on the bottom of the laptop - I've seen Toshiba's use many different numbers.

If it is brand new try return it first.
It sound like a computer virus some do that, try using an Anti-virus or an Anti-trogan. A trogan-virus is a malicious program.

get agood virus software and clean it.
