I no longer have any Red color. Only yellow and blue. I've fixed a problem with a fuse on the deflection board. That fuse kept blowing so I re-soldered the FBT and it worked for several months. Now my red doesn't work. This just began last week and I didn't see any evidence of anything blowing. What are the potential problems, how can I narrow down what is the precise problem, and how do I fix them?

Take it to GameStop. They can find the problem lickety-split!

TL010 which is the HOT its attached to the heat sink directly in front of the flyback. Unsolder that and see if the fuse stops blowing.

Go to Menu then setup Look For Convergence,If you Do Not see Convergence in the Menu then you have a Blowed Fuse on The deflection Board FL231.
Deflection Board is the Bottom Left hand side board that has (FBT) flyback Transfomer on it.
If you are Not able to repair it yourself ,then you can ship Board to PTS for repair.

Go to Menu then setup ,Do you see Convergence, If not then you have a Blowed Fuse on the Deflection Board FL231. Deflection board will be the bottom lefthand side with FBT flyback transfomer on it and on the right hand side of FBT is 3 Fuses in a roll but they do not look like Fuses they will be small rectrangler looking caps but are Fuses it will be the one in the Middle. .06amps. The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadow pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv pictures convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

Go to Menu then setup Look for Convergence if you do not see convergence listed,Then you have a blowed fuse on the Deflection board. It is the bottom board on left hand side it will have the FBT flyback Transfomer and on the Right Side of the FBT is 3 fuses right in a roll they will look lijke small brown retrangler Caps BUT are Fuses 0.6amp. It will be the Middle Fuse.

Heres another thing you can try with TV off Press and hold Vol- and CH- at same time hold untill TV comes on Now look for Auto Convergence.

Blowed Fuse, Go to Menu then setup if you do not see convergence then it will be Fuse only it looks like a small brown rectrangler cap on left side of FBT flyback Transfomer FL231 3 in a roll it will be the middle one open this is on your deflection board bottom borad on left hand side. Go to menu look for convergence on setup if it is not on menu then you have a blowed fuse FL231 will be on right side of FBT flyback Transfomer on deflection board there is 3 in a roll small brown looking caps but are fuses will be the one in the middle.

Usually this occurs when the Convergence ICs go bad along with some chemical fuses mounted on the deflection board. E994 usually blows along with the Horizontal out transistor going bad. This transistor, I believe is Q777 that usually goes bad. The fuses are either tiny little yellow fuse with a red band or green with a yellow band depending on your model number
