I'm trying to remove a Hotpoint Counter Saver Microwave oven. It's similar to the "over-the-oven" models. I cannot figure out how it's mounted. Can you help. I'd say it near 12 - 15 years old.

This is likely the CHILD LOCK feature of your microwave whish is engaged.

Try holding down the CLEAR / OFF button or the RESET button for 5 seconds in order to disable it.

Since you did not provide a model number, you will have to check your own User's Manual for the exact detailed instructions if required.

Good luck.

I have a Hotpoint Counter Saver Plus Microwave model RVM1435wd. The turntable does not rotate. How can I fix it?

If your turntable is not going around you may have one of two problems: the coupler under the glass tray may be worn and in need of replacement or the turntable motor needs to be replaced. Hope this helps.

The door handle broke of my Hotpoint counter saver plus microwave. Is it fixable?

Yes, this is very fixable. The door handle can be easily replaced on most microwave oven models. On MOST microwave ovens, you just have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. The following link explains how to replace the door handle:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3696942-microwave_oven_door_handle_replacement

The cost usually averages about $40. Replacements may be purchased at the websites listed in the link I provided. However, price and configuration of your oven also depends upon the MODEL NUMBER. Since you did not include this information with your question, I'm providing you the information that applies to most ovens.

If you have any questions, please post back with your model number and let me know. I hope this helps you

Please do not try to service. its dangerous to play with the internal parts of a Micro Wave. Most counter tops are pretty inexpensive buy a new one if the warranty is out.
