Lost password,after reset (pressing for 5 second), admin/admin failed to log . Pl advice.

You can reset the Linksys back to the default settings by -
Power up the Linksys, use a straighten paper clip and press the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router for 30 secs.
Open a browser and enter the configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default password = admin

You can reset the D-Link back to the default settings by power up the D-Link and press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router until all the LEDs flash.
Open a browser and enter the configuration URL
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default password = blank (just press enter)

You can log into your router to obtain the WEP key. Usually if you type 192.168.1.1 into your web browser it will take you to the log in screen for your linksys router. The username will be: admin and the password: admin as long as it was not changed. If that username and password does not work then you will need to reset the router by pressing the reset button on the back of it for 10 seconds and then that username and password should work.

My advice? Sorry we are not affiliated with Toshiba in anyway. Anyways you can reset your router password by pressing the reset button(usually a hole into which you have to push a pointed object to press and hold it). Hold it for 10 seconds and you should be able to reset it to default.
Caution: This will reset all of your configuration settings too, but this is the only way to reset it as there is no otherway to see/change the password.

on the router there should be a little button press that for 5 secs and then release this will reset everything to fatory settings then you can log on using either

• username: admin password: password
• username: admin password: EMPTY

Log in to the Router

You can reset the router to default and set a new password and encryption key.
D-Link Router reset
Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.
Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.
Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.
Step 4 Release the Reset button.
Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.
Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.
Note: Do not recycle power during the reset procedure. The default user name for most D-Link devices is admin and the password is left blank.
When it says hold for about 10 seconds, don't hold for more than ten seconds or the procedure will likely fail, if ten seconds doesn't work try 5 seconds.

1. Press F8 on boot up
2. select safemode
3. when log in screen comes up log in as Administrator
4. Once logged in go to Start
5. Settings
6. Control panel
7. Users
8. Select your user ID and select change password
9. type in a Password you'll remember
10. close everything out
11. reboot and log in as normal with new password
    

Try using the password 1234.

If this fails look for a small hole in the unit, normally marked reset. Unit must be powered, press and hold the reset button for about 3-5 seconds, then release. Note:a tool may be required to reach the recessed button.

Then try the default login and password again.
