I have a Nokia 6700 Slide and it recently stopped notifying me about new text messages. It doesn't ring or vibrate and it doesn't show a pop up. I have to check the inbox or the screensaver to see if there are any new messages. I've fiddled with the settings to the best of my abilities and can't get it to work. And it's not on silent. I read something that said my problem may be that the text message ringtone is on the memory card instead of the phone memory, but that is not the case. Any suggestions? Thanks.

ok first go to profiles aqnd in that general open it go for personalise in that check for vibrating alert make it on .....come back and above personalise you can see activate activate it and use.

just restore default setting go to setting phone setting and restore original setting. make sure you save numbers to sim and files to memory card.
