I have a hunter ceiling fan model number 25357-380 and recently when we have had a power glitch the fan's lights flash and the remote wont work. Can you explain what we need to do to resolve these problems. I have replaced the battery and it still will not work. Thanks for your assistance.

The receiver located in the fan has failed. (This was a fairly common occurrence when I
worked for a major improvement store). Here is the technical/parts number for Hunter fan
(901) 248-2259 The website is www.hunterfan.com I hope this helps.

I have a Hunter Ceiling fan, with light, and remote control; the light has been failing for a few weeks, but not doesn't light up. It will flash, and you can hear a relay in the body of the unit clicking,...

You probably need a new receiver. Call 1-888-830-1326 with the model # of the FAN and order a new one. Also, If the light is rated for 40 watts don't put in 60 watts.

Light remote control stopped working

most of my fan controls have done this to me. you know the reciever is working cuz the fan works fine. you need to dis assemble the remote completely and clean the contacts for the light button. mine are two small black dots that seem to keep getting slimey and wont work till i clean them, then all works like brand new again.

good luck.

Hunter ceiling fan (model no. 25736) and light not starting

Home Depot sells universal remote systems (transmitter and receiver) for around $30 (in Delaware & Pennsylvania) -- don't know price in Chicago).

I'd just replace it. Hunter may be correct that they are the only source for the receiver, but if you get a new transmitter as well, you don't need their receiver. The labor is the same either way.

Hunter ceiling fan. Lights and fans turn on and off by themselves. Both fans are on the same wall switch and are operated by separate remotes.

I just installed a 2nd hunter fan model 23811 that also seems to be controlled by grimlins. If the power is left on, the light and fan randomly turn on and off. And no, it is not due to fans being on the same frequency. It appears to be an issue with the control module. I'm contacting Hunter.

Fan with remote won't work with wall switch. I

I just recently purchased a hunter ceiling fan w/light and remote. Had it installed and wall switch would not work, only remote. I contacted Hunter company directly about this problem and I was told that they redesigned their fans with remotes so that only the remote works for turning off power to fan. The person who made that made that BRILLIANT change should be fired. So to those of you who own a newer hunter an product with a remote ne your wall switch will not work tat s te reason why.

No power to hunter ceiling fan or light.

It sounds like either the top part of your remote is bad, or you have a bad connection to it. Have someone that is familiar with electricity (that may be you?) check to see if there is power to the ceiling box, and fan's remote that is ususally in the ceiling box, or just under it in the cover. If you have power there, your remote is failing.
