No sound from left speaker, tried two different amps

  • Anonymous May 08, 2011

So that would suggest the speaker or wire is malfunctioning. What's your question?

The specific product you're inquiring about is not showing in your post. Name the make and model first, then we???ll look for the manual. Then (maybe) find a solution. You might find it at the manufacturer's support site or these guys...

ONKYO TX-DS575 No sound in the center speaker.

No, wd40, "please" first try checking the solder connections, 9 times out of 10 it's bad solder connections. Not every issue with older Electronics is Cap related!!! Onkyo is super easy to repair like I mentioned earlier, check the solder connections first, also check the ribbons, unplug the clean the contacts with DeOxit5, if you still need help, don't hesitate to contact me, good luck!!!

Left speakers do not work

As power amps are just two amps joined together all you need do is identify the left channel and compare it with the right. Ignore any parts common to both channels. The first thing to do is a visual check. If something looks broken burnt, or odd compared with the right channel then you have probably found the culprit. I suspect you could have a power output failure. It might be that the output devices are separate transistors. They might need to be replaced.
By the way just follow either the internal speaker leads or the connections to locate the right and left channels.

NAD C320. Only one channel sounds. Problem with the volume control?

Did you try to switch the loudspeakers? Before changing anything always lover the volume and switch off the amplifier.
Assuming you tested already different inputs, you can be sure no cable from signal source is out or defect. (or did you nit check that first?).
When the amp is switched off, disconnect the speakers and switch left to right and right to the left output.. If the other speaker is quiet now, you are sure it is in the amp. Still his can be anything.
You can check the connections between the pre and main amplifier on the back side. When you have an extra set of interlink cables, perhaps you can cross the in and output there too. Take care every time you change something, lower the voltage and switch off the amplifier. Sudden clicks when switching on or changing anything can damage the amp and or the speakers.

Perhaps when you checked this you can locate where the problem is? Speaker, speaker cable, power amp, pre amp, (only a part of the pre amp.

How do you fix the sound in speakers

Try the following : 1 Temporarily connect each speaker to a different sound source, to detect if the left or right speaker is faulty, or both.
2 Temporarily connect a different speaker to your HI FI (or whatever your sound sustem is).
This way you have identified if the problem is in the machine or the speakers.
If the problem is in the speaker, remove the screws and carefully remove the actual speaker (4 screws and two wires to un-solder). Take the speaker to a good audio components shop and buy an equivalent.
Re solder the 2 wires & replace all screws. NOTE: Do not muck around with the cross-over electronic components, unless you have the skills).

I have a Legacy Predator 2000 watt amp with 2 12'' Kicker speakers. It has been in my car for about a year now, and it recently just stopped working. I have the green light to the amp, im not sure about...

If you have checked your ground, live, remote and RCA's, The problem may lie with your kicker speakers.
There may be a loose wire connection on the speaker terminals (hense no sound).
Check the terminals at the speaker (+) and (-) then check the speaker wires to your amp inputs.
Usually if there is a fault with any wires linked to your amp, the amp goes into protect mode.
If your amp is not going into protect mode, try linking a different speaker to each terminal on your amp (left) then (right). If you get sound through a different speaker, more than likey your speaker wire to your kickers has came loose (due to vibrations) or there is a break in your speaker wire.

Hope this helps. If any more info is needed I'd be happy to help more. Please rate if helpful

Crate Bass Amp B100 - No sound.

Do you happen to have another speaker that you could hook up to speaker output? This would bypass the amps internal speaker and lf you get sound from that setup, it would mean either a jack failure or possible internal speaker problems. Please let me know.

Only one of four speakers puts out sound!

Check all your RCA"smake sure they all have output..Then use a fluke metere, or any meter you can get that tests ohms, and measure each speaker..they should all read arround 4. If the outputs from the deck are good, and the speakers measure correctly, then you have got yourself a bad amp.

Left channel will not play

Firstly try swopping over the left speaker to the right channel . If still no sound then either the speaker cable will have a break in it & need replaced or the actual speaker will be open circuit. If you get sound from the speaker on this channel then the the speaker is ok. Check your PC's audio set up... Go to Control Panel/ Sounds & Audio devices/ In volume Tab, click in Device volume area... Advanced & then check the Balance settings are not set to one end.
