Ok sounds like a tuner malfunction. What about other input sources such as HDMI port? DId you try connecting to a DVD player or something and see if it works? I am just trying to isolate the source of the problem here so please let me know
This seems to be an issue with the main A/V board and is fixable. Please tell me whats the model number of your tv so that I can asceertain what kind of tv it is and help you find the replacement partss to fix it.
Hmmm.. Its a CRT tv. Alright I still think its the main A/V circuit as the tv not responding to controls and not picking up input signal is associated with a malfunctioning microprocessor. Considering the fact that this set is rather old, replacement parts might be hard to find. A component level repair would be the way to go, which should also be cheaper than the cost of a board replacement. Please get me your zipcode so that I can get you a list of techs in your area.
Ok no problem. Here is the list of techs in your area.
